The problem is that it’s not a database of police blotter events... or at least a couple of queries to one. That is to say, I bet dollars to donughts the “public database” is completely disparate from the police’s own databases.
I’ve had SOME experience w/ the government in my 8.5 years of enlistment and I can say this: people are not trained to do their job effectively, they are forced to use the tools/procedures of the lowest common denominator. This is why they’ll do EVERYTHING in Excel... especially when a database would be better. [slightly sarcastic hyperbole, but more true than is comfortable]

They PROBABLY did not report any crimes committed by “minorities” against white people.
