Yesterday we mentioned that poll out of Ohio showing Obama's support collapsing in the uber-important swing state.
Turns out that's not a one-state phenomenon. Both Gallup and Rasmussen have new polls out showing big slippage in support for the administration
Everything seems to have changed since that last jobs report, since it viciously undercut the green shoots claims. Here's Rasmussen:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 32% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of 5.
The number who strongly disapprove inched up another point to the highest level measured to date and the overall Approval Index is at the lowest level yet for Obama.
And:
In the wake of last weeks disappointing report on job loss, consumer confidex has fallen to the lowest level in two months. The Rasmussen Investor Index shows investor confidence falling to the lowest level in three months. The number of investors who say the economy is getting worse jumped from 43% before the jobs report to 51% today.
If this direction continues, it begins to increase the odds the the White House will pursue a stimulus, though at this point, according to multiple reports, there really is no appetite for it among politicians. These numbers may also slow down climate reform, if that's deemed to be a non-essential issues at the moment.

that is a wonderful thing to hear.
I can’t say how pleased I am to hear this and I hope that the trend snowballs. I hope they all ‘tell a friend’.
He is -8 today.
Well this guys name is going to come up when you google "buyers remorse"
To all my friends and relatives that voted for the bamster,
"how is that how and change workin for ya...."
And they think that because they're “moderate” they are more intelligent.
Meanwhile, plenty of braindead, bleeding-heart, do-gooders (who destroy those they claim to help), still proudly support him on Facebook, on bumper stickers, and with that sheep-about-to-be-slaughtered-blissfully-ignorant smile.
loving it.
sw
He’s still strong with illegals, minorities, unionists, dead voters, ACORN members, welfare recipients, and useful idiot liberals. Sadly the sum total of those approaches a majority these days.
As I said before I will believe it when it shows up at the voting booth.
"how is that how and change workin for ya...."
My stock answer to them is: "Rush Limbaugh warned you."
LOL!!
I think dead voters and ACORN mostly. I also suspect ACORN hacked the social security. All the dead reported getting surplus checks now.
WRONG. He is still receiving 99% approval from INNER CITIES.
Unless he becomes white that will NEVER change.
Not fast enough. What’s wrong with people who couldn’t see through this poser?
They likely KNEW this was going to start happening which is why they are putting ACORN in charge of the Census and keep funneling them tax payer dollars, the only chance they’d have is voter fraud (what else is new?). It is also why they keep rushing/pushing through bills without reading them—they know what may be happening starting 2010.
Don’t believe it FRiends. Hussein still has the ears of billionaires and the power of government...plus, his cult is very strong.
Do not let up...this could be just a temporary dip.
Use this time to educate your friends, neighbors, co-workers, IN A GENTLE YET FIRM WAY, as to why Hussein’s central planning of an economy is WRONG.
Very sinister telling people everything is all right when you know it is not. All those businesses that bet on the green shoots are now over extended.
As one woman who called into a radio show today said, she is now sorry she voted for him, but the reason she did was it was so cool to vote for a non white person for a change, it was "historic"......and she liked the sound of "change".
I would not bet on it!
Best possible reply IMHO is to say something like “Well, I’ve always believed we should vote based on their values and policies, not based on the color of their skin”.

...With all due respect, Limbaugh is agreeing with a lot of us Free thinkers in this site, that have been telling him, I told you so...
Rpger that!
ROger that.
ping.
This is a hopeful sign.
lol, quoting the "water boy" for the bush GOP, lol, how sad. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Rush was good 15 years ago before he turned into the Bush butt boy.
You are missing the irony. By saying Limbaugh I am stomping the "hope and change" message right back in their little minds. They have no come back. If they agree with me then they are admitting that Limbaugh, the epitome of slime to Obama lovers, was correct all along. If they disagree with me I then repeat the original question "where is the hope and change" which started their lament. It is amazing to watch their expressions. Makes my day.
I am hearing black people coming down on him now too.
On an airplane, my son observed a black lady spouting out loudy about how O promised stimulous & she hasn't seen a thing and wants to know why he lied.
On a local Chicago station I heard a black lady call in & she was really annoyed with O, saying she has seen no help with her mortgage as he promised, said he LIED and she's fed up!!!
He can only fool the people so long and when their "checks" don't arrive & they are forced out of their homes, I think you can easily say, they will finally realize he LIED TO THEM!!!
I was saying before the election he would be elected because he was black. True then and true now.
If I had been the moderator I would have asked if she voted for Jackson when he had his "Rainbow Coalition" years ago.
Ok, I did miss your point (still struggling to get it) but waything that pssies off a liberal is fine with me. lol, Power to the (conservative) People.
Yeah, but the problem is, this type of person isn't going to turn around and vote Republican, no matter how mad at Obama they may be. The reason they're mad has nothing to do with concern over deficits, taxes, spending, etc. They're mad because the promised payback (so they thought) hasn't come yet.
Then they should talk to some of my Dem co-workers. To them, Obama is indeed the Anointed One whose policies should never be questioned. For these morons The Great Spreader makes no mistakes.
Not true. His "blackness" helped him get a record number, but he had the same politics as Ward Connerly or Alan Keyes, he would never have been elected to the state senate. Any lily-white pol who had the same Marxist politics as Obama would have gotten about ninety percent as usual.
