Jeb Bush has a message for Tom Tancredo

Sometimes good advice comes from the most unlikely of places. In this case, it comes from a Bush. In an interview with Tucker Carlson for Esquire magazine, Gov. Jeb Bush stated the most obvious fact of American electoral politics today: if the GOP is to rise again, it has to stop hating on Hispanics or at least it has to stop appearing to be hating on Hispanics! Hes talking about you, Tom Tancredo, non-office-holding cable-news ranter.
[T]he demographics are going against us. Alex [Castellanos, Republican media consultant] told me today, for example, that there is not a district in California where Republicans are out-registering Democrats. Of the fifty-three districts I think thats right not a single one has an improving situation. Its striking. So you have a shift. Theres more minorities. The voter-registration efforts have been successful by Democrats, ACORN and the like. The swing voters are Hispanic voters in most of the swing states. And Republicans have done a poor job, sending signals that Hispanics arent wanted in our party. Which is bizarre.
The people that are on television are the loudest on the immigration issue. The emotion, the anger, is a signal. Put aside the substance, but just in terms of the language. It makes it sound like them and us. And the evidence is that after [the GOP] making major inroads, Hispanics have turned toward the Democratic party in the last two election cycles. Big time. Compare that to how my brother did and how I did and how other Republican candidates have done in the past and you can see a trend line thats quite disturbing.
Its possible [to oppose illegal immigration without coming off as anti-Hispanic] but it requires a tone thats different. If you listen to the conversation, its not just words; its how theyre spoken. It has to be dispassionate, the language. But it hasnt been.
Bush also says this smart thing on the favorite tack taken by Republican tea partyists in opposing Pres. Obama:
Socialism is pejorative in America, so people stop listening. People are tired of it. That word wont stick. Its a turnoff. It doesnt help.

Jeb, it is you and the McCainiacs, siding with the democrats, that continue to portray GOPers that demand enforcment of our laws as racist rubes.

Using California as an example is ludicrous, because it is there that huge numbers of illegals wind up simply because of their sanctuary laws. Not to mention the free housing, health care, tuition and on and on and on.
Given all that, what illegal Hispanic in their right mind would even THINK about registering or voting anything BUT Democrat?

This is knuckling under to the Alinskyite method of letting your opponents define you. There isn’t any “tone” that they will like other than a squeaky, girlyboy, perpetually apologetic tone.

I disagree. It has to be called for what it is, and what it is IS socialism. People aren't tired of hearing it because they aren't hearing it enough. There isn't a MSM outlet that would dare call Obama's policies socialist. But they are.
How sad is it that Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin are the only people on a national level to call attention to the real agenda in Washington, and call it by its real name? Its even more sad that an alleged republican like Jeb Bush don't want the word used.

It's a stark realization that if we can't educate supposedly intelligent people like Jeb Bush as to how conservatives feel about immigration, the difference in legal and illegal, we are going to have a hell of tough time getting our message across to voters as a whole.
I am so tired of seeing anyone who feels ILLEGAL immigration is an affront to America, what it stands for, and how it came to be the greatest nation on God's green Earth portrayed as a racist or somehow being against immigration. Along with how they feel about and treat Sarah Palin I see one’s approach to immigration as one of the prime litmus tests for identifying a RINO.
Time is running out. If we don't wrest back control of our country and our government NOW it will be too late. Somehow we've let enough illegal immigrants come into this country over the last 20 years to affect the outcome of any election at any level.

No, but McCain talked down to them in this manner, even going so far to pitch his amnesty plan in spanish on radio stations throughout the SW. He got shellacked. And once again, a guy named Duncan Hunter in a heavily hispanic district on the border walked away with crushing victory.

That is exactly what Republican conservatives need, more advice from a Bush. The party is in the sorry state it is because of the “leadership” from both Bushes,Dole, McCain, and Gingrich. As long as the Republican Party chooses race and skin color over principles it will be an insignificant challenger to the Democrat-Socialists. But the Republican “leadership” want it that way. These old men just will not go away, no matter how much damage they cause. Each of them have been more concerned about their legacy than grooming a competent and principled group of young fighters for the coming Socialist\Marxist\Democrat assaults.
To: pissant
In this case, it comes from a Bush.
It's time for the GOP to understand that the Bush Family has been the worst train-wreck since Richard Milhous Nixon.
