First of all, before even getting into the policy of it all, it is inconceivable to me that a group of people can justifiably understand and make decisions on a fifteen hundred-page document in only a few days.
Especially if the 1500 page document is based on politically driven junk science.
To me Cap-and-Trade looks like a suicide pact. why anyone would destroy our economy and give up US sovereignty for essentially no gain is beyond my ability to comprehend. I know why “they” want it, I can’t comprehend why we go along with it.
I think the Senate will kill this abomination.
Those “Carbon Credits” will become the most sought after and expensive items on the trading floor. Any business man wanting to expand his product line will have to bid for credits to do so on the open market. He will be bidding against the largest corporations in the world who will naturally be able to pay more. The price of the credits and hence the price of everything will skyrocket. Its a beautiful scheme to create a monopoly environment for certain businesses and make a ton of money for the brokers who handle the contracts. Guess who will pay??? Madoff was an amateur compared to these hucksters.
