note: his straight up approval is down to 51%. That is what, 2 or 3% below what he got on election day?

It’d be interesting to hear from those who both voted for him, but are no disapproving. Interesting and sad, of course (wtf did they expect??!).

And of course The One will take his low approval numbers as a sign that people are desperate for health care reform, a second stimulus, and cap and trade. His ego is too massive to admit that it’s exactly those policies that are causing people to really distrust him.

The number 8 is symbolic of new beginnings. Therefore, -8 must be the symbol for new endings.

Or the new beginning of the new end.

What's more is that it might even be worse than -8:

Currently, the baseline targets for the adult population are 39.0% Democrats, 32.5% Republicans, and 28.5% unaffiliated. Likely voter samples typically show a slightly smaller advantage for the Democrats.

Interesting internals, too, e.g.,

“Thirty-nine percent (39%) now give the President good or excellent marks for handling the economy while 43% say he is doing a poor job. Those are by far his lowest ratings yet on the economy”

THAT will be his undoing... watch what happens when the Rats kill the economy even more with Cap -n- Tax, zer0Care (-8Care?), tax hikes and Porkulus II.

Keep on keepin’ on, Rats!!!! You’re the best friends the GOP has!!!

The sad and scary thing is that these changes are likely all due to the unemployment numbers. If the economy turns around, Obama’s numbers will probably go back up. Voters need to look at the whole package. They have elected an America-hating, rage-filled Marxist. Maybe the economy will make them take a second, more clear-eyed look at all aspects of Obama, I don’t know. What I do know is that we must keep doing what we can to oppose him.

[There is a gender gap when it comes to perceptions of Obama’s performance. By a 46% to 27% margin, men Strongly Disapprove. Women are more evenly divided—33% Strongly Approve and 30% Strongly Disapprove. ]

So, not every portion of the populace has lost their minds. If you subtract black males from those totals assuming nearly 100% are Obama supporters, that means white and asian males are more than 50% in the strongly disapprove.

Are women from another planet completely?

At a 4th of July family reunion, I informally surveyed dozens of relatives on Obama. Even among a few who said last year, “it’s time we had a black president”, there was nobody — NOBODY — who supported Obama. That was rather shocking — not ONE Liberal to be found ... among the college kids and older Democrats, I figured to at least find ONE, but nope.

Not seeing as many Obama bumper stickers out there in my neck of the woods either.

The stimulus is turning out to be the fiasco that everyone predicted. Buffett - an Obama supporter - today called the stimulus a “combination of viagra and candy”. CNBC’s Art Cashin called the stimulus a “hoax”. Ed Rendell essentially admitted that the stimulus wasn’t really “stimulus”, but aid (i.e. transfer payments, welfare, etc).

Combine that with the fact that there are bound to be charges are corruption, graft, and fraud involved, and you’ve got one hell of a political problem that only 2 Republicans in the entire Congress voted for. The Democrats own this POS, and they will pay a political penalty for it.

Obama’s doublespeak and lies to sell the stimulus are also now coming home to roost.

51% approval (30 strongly) vs. 48% disapprove (38 strongly). I guess we can say with confidence that Obama will blow-off around 21% (51 minus 30) by fall if the economy doesn’t come roaring back (meaning it would have be be improving right now — which it isn’t).

It’s going to be a historical mid-term election. Much worse than ‘94 for the Democrats.

I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree with many of you. I don't believe his poll numbers matter too much to him (or whoever is pulling the strings). He is an ideologue and is intent on cutting America down to size as fast and hard as possible. I think the Ayers/ Marshall/ Alinsky/ New Party/ ACORN/ Cloward-Piven crowd sees the finish line. And I think their opinion is the only one that matters to him. I don't think he would care if his approval rating dropped to 20% as long as congress kept passing his crap and he was still free to do as much damage to our foreign policies as possible.

The only place this might matter is when the slightly more sane Democrats in congress, or at least the ones with a healthy sense of self preservation, start to back off from some more of the radical legislation.

The first time in my life, I watched part of a Conan O’Brien skit last night (for the record, I loathe the late night shows). I caught a bit where he put images of three celebs and attributed their responses to such questions. In each skit, the third person was the intended fool. Among the intended targets: Palin and Sanford (Britney Spears and others). Don’t recall seeing Obama. Afraid? The ignorance of the audience was displayed when Cheney was shown as the first respondant to a question (meaning, not the target) yet the audience laughed when he was quoted as saying “to keep America safe...” They thought that he was the intended target of the joke. Needless to say, typical Dem voters.

I went to a park with a friend last night, and I was telling the friend about how 71% of Americans would vote for Palin for president. A Mexican-American dude overheard me, and he quickly said, “I’D VOTE FOR HER, TOO!” This is significant. Extremely. (I won’t describe the guy. He’s not a WASP.)

This is good news. Rasmussen is the ONLY polster who consistently gets it right. Obama has two choices: either scrap his entire agenda (healthcare, global warming, etc...) or face massive defeats in the mid-term elections and a crushing smackdown of himself in 2012.
