While I am no fan of slam, the Chinese have been brutally destroying the Uighurs. These people, the Uighurs, had their own empire in the 3rd century AD that rivalled the Chinese. They are Turkic speaking, racially more Tungushic and not Chinese. They were initially Christians (Nestorian Christians belonging to the Assyrian Church) and Buddhist until the 9th and 10th centuries when the conversion toIslam (in their case, largely peaceful through Sufi missionaries) happened.

The Uighurs were once 95% of the people in East Turkestan (once being 50 years ago), but now they are just 60% and that number is declining fast as the Chicoms are encouraging Han migration to East turkestan.

Their culture has been destroyed -- Kashgar, one of the main centres on the Silk Route and with millenia of history, was razed by the chicoms.

their language has been destroyed with forced language of Han Chinese.

What we see happening to the Tibetans is what has already happened to the Uighurs.

You must understand the PC here...Chi-Coms killing Buddhist Tibetans is a bad thing. OTOH Chi-Coms killing Muslim Uighurs well that a good thing....no make that a very good thing.
