'Put nothing in writing,' Browner told auto execs on secret White House CAFE talks
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com ^ | 07/08/09 | Mark Tapscott

Posted on 07/08/2009 5:14:39 PM PDT by Para-Ord.45

Carol Browner, former Clinton administration EPA head and current Obama White House climate czar, instructed auto industry execs "to put nothing in writing, ever" regarding secret negotiations she orchestrated regarding a deal to increase federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards.

Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-WI, is demanding a congressional investigation of Browner's conduct in the CAFE talks, saying in a letter to Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA, that Browner "intended to leave little or no documentation of the deliberations that lead to stringent new CAFE standards."

Federal law requires officials to preserve documents concerning significant policy decisions, so instructing participants in a policy negotation concerning a major federal policy change could be viewed as a criminal act.

Waxman is chairman of the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. Sensenbrenner is the ranking Republican member of the panel.

Browner's informal directive was previously reported by The New York Times. Sensebrenner's letter is being made public tomorrow. A copy was made available to The Examiner by an official with knowledge of the controversy.

Carol Browner should still be serving time for her crimes during the Clinton administration. Dear God, is there any hope for this nation?

She is one of the worst of the czars.

Browner's name and biography have been scrubbed from the Web site of Socialist International, the umbrella group for 170 "social democratic, socialist and labor parties" in 55 countries. But a photo of Browner speaking in Greece to the group's Congress on June 30 was captured.

"put nothing in writing, ever"

That's an obvious rule of life for the slime balls inhabiting the upper ranks of the federal government. I worked for a federal manager, years ago, in New Mexico, who lived by that rule - he violated the regs on a daily basis, but covered his sorry @ss by issuing all of his orders verbally, and putting "nothing in writing" (he never even replied to e-mails). Got himself a major promotion, as a direct result...

Carol Browner...instructed auto industry execs “to put nothing in writing, ever” regarding secret negotiations.

Why would anybody NOT wear a wire when dealing with Obama and his fellow thug-politicians? If I were a member of the corporate board, I’d demand it of the firm’s negotiator, and if I were that negotiator, I’d arrange for a second transmitter for myself...if only for my own job security. Or for when my defense lawyer became MY negotiator...

Ditto for any current federal employee, if the law allows it...

Brick Wall?

A brick wall is like a window to these Socialist Democrats.

They’re hiding behind tempered steel lined with heat resistant tiles and titanium.

I had a job once where I could NOT trust the manager......ever! He was a nasty, back-stabbing SOB. So, I got to where everytime I had a ‘meeting’ in his office with him I would take my trusty tape recorder. The first time I walked in, sat it down on his desk and sweetly said....”you don’t mind if I record this do you?”. Our meetings went just fine from then on.

Bingo (and there are a heck of a lot more snakes working for the federal government, than the average American realizes)...

It *is* criminal .. she has a fiduciary obligation ..
a sworn oath to serve the people of the United States
and NOT their socialist agenda.

I have a feeling all these former Clintonites were
part of the bargain Hillary and Bill demanded and
and held over 0’s head for not releasing the likely
mega-scandalous information they held.

Shoulda steeled old crusty and released it,
Hillary .. and damn the consequences. Would’ve
been a lesser Hell than we now live... including
for you.

My X used to threaten my life...among other things at really weird times and places...I started carrying a small tape recorder every place. We called it the “silencer”....Sure did shut him up.

Tape recorders are your friends.
