Noted free-speech champion Keith Olbermann has declared that we have to "legally stop" Glenn Beck. The Fox News host's crime? Not reacting strongly enough for Olbermann's taste when a guest made an over-the-top remark. [H/t reader JKF.]
On the June 30 editon of Beck's show, former CIA analyst Michael Scheuer said: "the only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to detonate a major weapon in the United States." Apparently Scheuer thinks that's what it would take to shock the country and its leaders back to their senses. Olbermann was infuriated that Beck didn't "scream at him" or otherwise jump down Scheuer's throat, choosing instead to nod gravely while suggesting that would be the last thing OBL would do.

Instead of being a punit against the truth, how about do your job and report/tell the truth.

Whatever happened to "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Apparently that only applies to liberal ideas. :-/ As long as only white-male conservatives are being offended, it is just expression, art, whatever. While I would much prefer other things to take place that could bring our country around, I am afraid Scheuer is right.
In fact, I tend to think it could take several attacks before these idiots or what’s left of their useless a$$es will understand that there is a committed group of Islamists, and others, that want all of us dead.

Unfortunately not. I was thinking the same thing: had I been a guest on the show I would have tried to draw him out as to just what he had in mind: let him dig his own grave. Guess that’s why Olby never has guests who disagree with him.

We don't need an attack. It's insane to think otherwise.
The biggest thread to our country is within its own borders.
An outside threat would only make the enemy within stronger. More laws and less freedom.
After the last attack, we opened up immigration to muslims, not closed it. We have more coming in now and being rewarded with our tax dollars.

Olbermann it was a stupid thing to say. But the 1st amendment protects stupidity. That’s why you’re allowed on TV spouting your stupid crap and not doing prison tricks for doing so.

Yup. Glenn is very good at pulling back the covers and revealing their secrets in a way the delights America loving people.
We need to open up a new front in the culture war. We all know that many lefties (including olberman) are mentally unstable. We need to exploit this vulnerability of theirs. We need to literally push them over the edge and off them with the insanity that they deserve.
This will be great for Beck’s ratings.

What I do know is their policies have affected those who supported them. I know a few people now rethinking if the change they voted for was suppose to change their financial status as it has.
However, they’d rather think of themselves now as Independents. I cheer inside instead of rubbing their nose in it.
