Reality check: He signed a healthcare reform bill (albeit misguided), balanced every budget while he was Governor, and was a vocal advocate on the DOM Act - against an over-whelming democratic legislature and MA Supreme Court.
The dude needs to get his facts straight. He obviously doesn’t live in MA.

If Mitt had handed over the reins early, his Lt. Muffy might have had a chance to establish herself—and the state wouldn’t have been lost to Deval. Too bad the occasion arose before Palin had been able to show leadership in the situation!
I don’t believe Romney is what he tries to pass himself off as being. He won’t be getting a vote from me. That’s final.
Persons who serve as Governor are not obligated to serve a second term. If they think they can be of better use somewhere else, they can opt out. I honestly don’t see the shame in that, even for a person I don’t particularly like as a politician.
This comparison is childish. I’m sure it’s well intended, but it really does reflect poorly on the writer.

As if the “Palin wasn’t any worse than Obama” wasn’t bad enough, how many people at FR really think the “Palin isn’t really that much worse than Romney” is a rational argument?
Slick Willard had no intention of leaving the office to anyone other than a rodent.
Mitt is definitely the front runner now, as has been, as Charles Krauthammer has noted.
But Rudy Giuliani was the front runner from 2004 until 2007 — the years that don’t really matter much.
So we’ll see what takes shape once the race actually gets under way in a couple years.

I was in MA at a time to enthusiastically put Mitt in office, and he not only completely capitulated to the Dem legislature, but he also lifted nary a gubernatorial finger to support candidates across the state, and party insiders were rightly bitter that he did nothing to help the state from spiraling down to a Democrat monopoly.

No, the real situation is that Mitt should have gone by what Palin did—but she hadn’t had the chance set the standard yet. (And Mitt chose not to follow Weld’s lead in giving Lt Cellucci the lead time that he clearly needed!)
