It was a most unusual Fourth of July holiday.
While we, the American people, were celebrating the passage of the Declaration of Independence on the Fourth of July, 1776, our only nationally-elected leaders, the President and Vice-President, seem to have forgotten its meaning.

Our Country has been hijacked...liberals looking for it’s demise are probably stunned at how quickly it is happening. None of the policies that the Obama Administration is putting forth will help this Country. Either with jobs or economic growth, the next 2-3 years will be to weather the storm.

When it was over, he had tears running down his face as did I. To think of all of those brave men who gave their lives to keep that flag up.... and then to think about the idiots in Washington.... it’s very saddening.
I don’t know how absolutely true the story at the above link is, but it’s a good story nonetheless and paints a picture of how it might have been during our country’s birth.
Socialism is knocking indeed! We need to fight just a fiercely as “the powers that be” are ramming it down our throat. I started an email chain to my church family with the #’s of our senators and encouraged each to call and tell them to vote NO on Cap and Trade. If all the churches-large and small- would rally the troops I think we would be a formidable force with which to be reckoned. I think we as conservatives, as Christians, have gotten far too complacent. It may be a small thing to start an email loop, but we all need to be reminded that our obligation does not end with the November vote. It only begins!!!!
They know exactly what their doing! Forget Independence, they’re pushing dependance with a capital D! Sorry bastids!
If you think the Glorious 4th was strange, wait until Christmas. We’ll have the grayest White Christmas since the 30’s IMHO.
