Just a cynical way of burdening the smaller rivals with costs that Wal-Mart can afford given their enormous revenue base and the efficiencies and leverage on Suppliers they are able to realize. More consolidation in an already suffering sector.

More consolidation in an already suffering sector. Yes, since other companies have three times the rate of uninsured employees as Wal-Mart, this government mandate would help damage competitors.
