The only way to reconcile Biden’s statement (that the US will not prevent an Israeli attack on Iran) with the public US policy of ‘negotiation’ with Iran (no military option) is to say that Obama is not a leader. He would prefer that somebody, anybody would do his dirty work for him so that he can continue to preen & moralize.

I think there’s a long tradition of sending the VP to telegraph a message you don’t want the President on record as saying. Of course, with Ramblin’ Joe, you never know when he’s off course and when he’s sending a message from the adminstration.
