I admire the Hondurans who protect their constitution admirably. Glad to see the military stepping up against tyranny.
Remember, it’s not the fall that’ll kill you, it’s the sudden stop.
Bloodshed... “all obama’s fault” - just like he is responsible for the deaths in iran...
Just imagine the different response to this from the United States of America if George W. Bush was still President.
Can you believe free people would stand up for someone, who is trying to break their own countries law? The president committed an unconstitutional act. If they have the death penalty, then he should be tried and put to death.

Zero's gonna lose his svelte figure if he has to keep going out for ice cream...
That’s a good move strategically. Avoids the spectacle on the ground that Zelaya wanted to appear on television across the world. I hope the Honduran people can turn back the Chavez-Zelaya-Obama alliance against constitutional democracy.
From another website.
They sound capable enough to stop an airliner. They fly F-5s.
I recommend the use of an air-to-air missile.
All the drug lords in one place? Sounds like opportunity to me...
Zelaya wanted a showdown and was asking all his “followers” to show up at the airport. Good move by Honduras to avoid the showdown. The longer this goes on, the more the world is becoming aware of the real situation.
If he says he’s flying, he’s not. They’d better check every known entry point they can think of.
Complete with human shields.
If Chavez had any balls he’d join his buddy on this flight.
If this guy dies trying to re-enter the country that is Obama’s fault for encouraging him.
Is this being televised by news outlets. Let me know so I can fire up the popcorn. Just love seeing leftist getting wasted.
“Supporters of the ousted leader”
Many from Nicaraugua, Cuba and Venezuela, with wet ink on their Honduran passports.
Meanwhile, obama and Mrs bigfoot are heading off to Russia to kneel to Putin - voting “not present” on Honduras.
I guess the real question is whether Obama and the CIA were behind the coup.
...I know, no way - the coup was indigenous . But then you have to wonder about other coups, and whether we are to blame...just because the new government sides with us (at least the old USA).
Arrest his ass and cart him off to where other enemies of democracy are sent — Gitmo.
Only problem is that after he’s shipped off for a fun-filled ice cream vacation in Bermuda, Obama would release his sorry ass to sneak back into Honduras again...
With any luck they’ll stop it with some AA fire.

If there is a bloodbath you can be sure the leftists will start it.

Found this blog. I believe the blogger is a U S Marine (former).
Any bloodbath falls squarely on the shoulders of Obama and Clinton. They are interfering with the rule of law in Honduras, supporting Chavez’s puppet, and turning centuries of American support for democracy on its head. This is not the America I love and knew.
1. By trying to run for re-election, Zelaya was obviously in violation of the Honduran constitution. So, he was constitutionally removed from office, by the action of the Honduran Congress and with the full authority of the Honduran Supreme Court.
2. Zelaya is actively supported by a coterie of thug Commie dictators -- Castro, Chavez, Morales, Ortega, et al -- which he evidently hoped to join.
3. Yet, the OAS supports Zelaya and has suspended Honduras. (Though Honduras beat them to the punch by resigning).
4. Yet, the UN is supporting Zelaya and the Secretary-General is accompanying him back to Honduras.
5. Yet, the President of the United States is also actively supporting Zelaya...calling for his restoration and actually hosting him in Washington.
Something is terribly, terribly wrong here. If this is now the shape of American foreign policy, both our history and the future of freedom have been compromised.
Now is this great or what........
This is all above Obama’s pay grade. Sarah Palin needs to immediately make a high profile visit to Honduras to give clear support to their constitution.
I should apologize for excoriating Freepers for indicating a desire to leave the US because the Left has clearly taken over. After seeing what Honduras has done to the lefty scumbag I’ve considered immigrating there.
According to the blog on http://www.latribuna.hn/web2.0/, Zelaya might be diverting to El Salvador (this is off the record, apparently). Either it is a bluff by Zelaya and he will land in Honduras, or the Hondurans aren’t kidding and he knows it.
a sudden stop about 3 miles high up will do nicely. you gotta give it to the Hondurans, they protect their constitution.
What’s the chance of getting a shoot down captured on live tv?
The lesson here, is that if you are going to overthrow somebody, make sure to shoot the bastard. Pinochet and Company did it the right way.

On a similar note, Nicaragua and Mexico are playing for the Gold Cup Soccer match in the United States. Mexico is winning with 1 point and it’s 1/2 time.
As we celebrate freedom in America, other countries struggling to maintain their freedom, and some countries are trying to get that freedom. Honduras has refused to allow a dictator to change their constitution such as what had happened in Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Nazi Germany. Unfortuately, corruption has allowed communism to come back to power in Nicaragua. Groups like LULAC, La Raza, and The Congressional Hispanic Caucus are too busy demanding amnesty to care about reform in hispanic countries. Below are 2 articles about the situation in Honduras and neighboring Nicaragua that the hispanic media, U.S. media, and several Presidents refuse talk about:
We in Nicaragua have witnessed political corruption for so long, that it seems quite stupid now to try and disguise it as a virtue. We share the sentiments of North American Justice Potter Stewart when he tried to define pornography in 1964: "I can't define pornography, but I know it when I see it." Perhaps we dont know how to define corruption in legal terms, but we recognize it when we see it.
The difference is that Judge Stewart had to rule on the 1958 Louis Malle film, The Lovers, in which he found no "obscenity"; while we Nicaraguans see real corruption everyday life, in the plunder committed by former President Aleman and the cynical decision of the [Nicaraguan] Supreme Court to free him. The politicians, judges and members of the National Assembly who support and profited from the decision are all living under a shameful cloud of debasement.
[Editor's Note: In 2007, President Daniel Ortega managed to hold on to power by making a pact with former President Arnoldo Alemán, who was in jail at the time for corruption. In part for his release, Alemán's supporters backed Ortega, allowing the FMLN to maintain a majority. This is the second time the two men have 'made a deal' to stay on top].

To say that people in Latin America are sensitive about military coups would be an understatement. Due to the often tumultuous and bloody histories of their respective countries, they have a strong aversion to anything that looks like military interference in civilian politics. Recent events in Honduras have struck many Latin Americans as a return to the bad old days when power-hungry generals routinely dislodged elected officials and stomped on democracy. Yet upon closer examination, the removal of Honduran president Manuel Zelaya bears very little resemblance to traditional Latin American military coups. Indeed, it was not really a "coup." Rather, it was a response to a leader who had trampled the law and attempted to hold an illegal referendum on constitutional reform. Zelaya's ouster was approved by Honduras's Congress, Supreme Court, Electoral Tribunal, attorney general, and national prosecutor.
Good time to arrest them all! - Nip tyranny in the bud.
