Obama Conspicuously Absent on Independence Day-- Vanity with email
email | 7/5/09 | malkee

Posted on 07/04/2009 10:29:32 PM PDT by malkee

I want to wait until after Independence Day was over before I posted this. Obama didn't do much in the way of appearances today -- but he did send an email to his 'supporters.' He "rewrites" history in the following email.

"Friend --

This weekend, our family will join millions of others in celebrating America. We will enjoy the glow of fireworks, the taste of barbeque, and the company of good friends. As we all celebrate this weekend, let's also remember the remarkable story that led to this day.

Two hundred and thirty-three years ago, our nation was born when a courageous group of patriots pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to the proposition that all of us were created equal.

Our country began as a unique experiment in liberty -- a bold, evolving quest to achieve a more perfect union. And in every generation, another courageous group of patriots has taken us one step closer to fully realizing the dream our founders enshrined on that great day.

Today, all Americans have a hard-fought birthright to a freedom which enables each of us, no matter our views or background, to help set our nation's course. America's greatness has always depended on her citizens embracing that freedom -- and fulfilling the duty that comes with it.

As free people, we must each take the challenges and opportunities that face this nation as our own. As long as some Americans still must struggle, none of us can be fully content. And as America comes ever closer to achieving the perfect Union our founders dreamed, that triumph -- that pride -- belongs to all of us.

So today is a day to reflect on our independence, and the sacrifice of our troops standing in harm's way to preserve and protect it. It is a day to celebrate all that America is. And today is a time to aspire toward all we can still become.

With very best wishes,

President Barack Obama

July 4th, 2009

P.S. -- Our nation's birthday is also an ideal time to consider serving in your local community. You can find many great ideas for service opportunities near you at http://www.serve.gov. "

I don't think our founders envisioned a "perfect" union. They were too smart for that.

So Workers Unite? Is the country only OK when the poor and the illegals do not struggle, but the taxpayers do?

Whatever union the founders intended it to be, it was the people and not the government that would decide how it developed.

Obama's concept is that big government will save us all.  To hell with that notion.  Just about whatever the government gets involved in, it deprives 'We the People' from the freedom to create our more perfect union.

Isn’t that the truth.

We have many people in this nation who screwed off their whole lives. And now the government is charged with rescuing them.

Cut this welfare program out. Give people six months to find a job or else.

We have no idea how many people are getting a free ride on the backs of the rest of us.

////quote//// America’s greatness has always depended on her citizens embracing that freedom — and fulfilling the duty that comes with it. ///end quote///

— he thinks it is my _duty_ to get health insurance even though I would rather not. I am never, or rarely, sick, and I don’t go to the doctor. [I self-treat with herbs and lemons and water, if I get a cold!] And then, if I choose not to get insurance, it is my _duty_ to pay a thousand-dollar fine.

I am so mad. Freedom! Liberty! YES there is a duty - but the duty doesn’t involve things like that thousand-dollar fine, or mandatory insurance. *sigh*

Read the Preamble to the Constitution of these United States, in re “more perfect union.” It is true that this phrase was not used in connection with the Declaration of Independence, but it holds an important place in our founding philosophy.

I doubt, most sincerely, that Obama wrote (or even read) that.

It's just a little gratuitous pretend-patriotism from Obama's minders to the masses.

Marxist Obama has no feeling or understanding about our great history of greatness of this country. He (as best I can tell, but I would love to be proven wrong) rejects it out-of-hand.

“Speaking as your president, I want to congratulate America’s electorate for holding its elected officials to the highest standard. You not only ask of us — you demand, on pain of being thrown out on our fat asses — faithful observance of the Constitution’s limits on government’s power.

This year, as you cheerfully pursue happiness by paying taxes. and as you contemplate the mountainous national debt recently created for your benefit, remember the Constitution’s requirement that the U.S. dollar be backed by gold. Because government doesn’t have much gold these days, please pay your tax in jewelry, watches, and wedding rings if possible.”

“Not certain where he was, but Michelle was and is in Russia.”

I found this on line.

“The White House will celebrate the Fourth of July and honor military heroes and their families with a barbecue on the South Lawn. The evening will conclude with fireworks. 1,200 military families have been invited to attend and the Marine Band will also perform. White House staff and their families have also been invited to watch fireworks on the South Lawn. The President will deliver brief remarks, which are pooled press.

On Sunday night, the President and the First Lady will travel to Moscow, Russia. The departure from the South Lawn is open press.

Independence day must be the worst day of the year for Zer0.

His big holiday is May 1st.

Listening to WVON radio Chicago( an all black Obama supporting channel) the Fourth of July is a day for mourning the holocaust against Indians, domiant white imperialism,
slavery, Jewish slaughter of the palestinians and the various conspiracies of Black extermination by
Jewish Doctors... etc.

That’s Zer0’s take on the world. By the way, I believe WVON
used to broadcast Louie Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam services.

I agree completely. It is a stupid statement. Nothing is perfect in this world. The statement is an example of his soaring rhetoric which totally lacks substance. It is meant to encourage the dumb and the awe struck to follow him because what he says makes them feel good because to the uninformed and slow of thought it sounds good.

As long as some Americans still must struggle, none of us can be fully content.

We know messianic missions ARE a struggle. Indeed; no American; no one who chooses 'Freedom' over a Government slavery; can be content with Obama's 'struggle' to impose his plans for 'Change'.;

Obama misses the 'dream' of America as well. A totalitarian's 'dream' is a nightmare; a nightmare that our Constitution protects us from. . .and never has our Constitution been under greater assault than it is today; and by an empowered 'Left' whose 'dream for America' is the stuff of what has been and forever will be; a torment against civilization.

Truth be told; there are no wishes for 'Happy Returns' from this White House; on America's Birthday.

Obama has done one thing to improve me, which I hadn’t previously considered. I now come to recognize that truly arrogant people will read themselves into anything which is presented to them.

I have never heard of anybody so intellectually disingenuous as to perceive the meaning of the Constitution as communicated by Barack Obama. It hadn’t dawned upon me that we sincerely have a major percentage of our nation which actually thinks in the fashion he does.

I now have doubts that those who do have a proper perspective should continue to prop up the remainder of a nation which is so vile. They do not appear to respect an ability and freedom to come and know truth, but instead relish the ability to steal from their fellow man in order to preserve their counterfeit society founded upon criminality not being held accountable.
