I guess the teachers don’t like competition.

With this policy, the parents don't get to see the interplay between the teachers and the children.

Right, I was wondering who will watch the watchers. The NEA and Schools have begun to think of themselves as surrogate parents to all of our children. In reality, the school officials knowitalls have become the education/propaganda arm of the government. Long past is the time where schools first reflected the local community. I think the Amish were on to this along time ago. Home Schoolers too.
