According to the station, the offending DVD starts with a menu screen that displays various school trips and functions. Click on one of them and "you see kids in a classroom sharing stories. They then start clapping and the video suddenly cuts to sex."

How can that be an "error"? You have to use software to load the school and porn videos into say MovieMaker, to make such a DVD.

I’ve done it myself - not with a sex tape, but I accidentally about fifteen minutes of a football game in the middle of a video recording a play at school, and then transferred the whole sequence to computer without watching it. When I burnt the DVD, I just grabbed the AVI file and stuck it where I wanted it, again without watching.

It can be done.

I certainly don’t want perverts in the teaching profession - but nor should people be hounded out of it because of a genuine error which didn’t involve doing anything intentionally.

Yep. every non-linear video editor I’ve seen is very visual. How could anyone miss such a clip?

Could have been a mistake, by importing the porn video file into a directory with the school files, then she later mistakenly included it with the disk compilation? I wonder if she created it on school computers. Now, THAT would open another can of worms.
