Bill Clinton to raise money for NY Dem challenger

WASHINGTON – In a slap at President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton will headline a fundraiser for a New York congresswoman challenging White House-backed Sen. Kristen Gillibrand in the state's Democratic primary.

Clinton has not endorsed in the race, but his efforts to help Rep. Carolyn Maloney could be seen as a snub to Gillibrand and the Obama White House.

Matt McKenna, a spokesman for Clinton, said he will be attending a July 20 fundraiser in New York.

The White House has played an active role in clearing the field for Gillibrand, who was appointed earlier this year to fill the seat vacated when Obama tapped Hillary Rodham Clinton to be his secretary of state.

I would say so! Guess it wasn’t a good idea to leave Hillary back in the States when he goes traveling. Looks like he dissed her once too often. :)

Well, he WAS so looking forward to being ‘The First Rapist’ once Hillary! was installed; no wonder he’s disgruntled. ;)

I would think that the Clinton’s really want to get back into power. That means that they have to take out Zero between the time that he totally tanks but before the Dem brand is irreparable. If the Clintons wait too long the GOP would have too much of an advantage since the Dems would be in tatters.

::::::::::
It is reasonable to expect this. My take is that Hitlery will run against Obama as a “moderate Dem” holding an American flag and standing for REPAIRING ALL THE MARXIST DAMAGE THAT ZERO WILL HAVE DONE BY THEN. Technically, I think she could beat him before 2012 since he is already tanking badly even with the mindless kool-aid drinkers who are finally waking up to Marxism and its fascist overtones. An easy win, the way I see it.

And the interesting thing is that Zero is making it easy for the Clintons. They just have to subtly undermine and patiently wait until the time is right. Also, Zero is not strong. He’s thin skinned and he’ll go totally looney when he realizes he’s become a laughingstock.

This must have something to do with Billionaire Tom Galisano. He and Bill Clinton are pals, and Galisano has been openly spending money to support candidates he feels will “reform” NY.

Galisano’s money was, some say, the trigger for 2 dems to recently change sides in the NY State Senate.

its simple. Gillibrand is a left leaning centrist and Mccarthey is as left as you can possibly get.

This makes sense to me... As much as I dislike the Clintons... they are really centrists... aside from HillaryCare from the 90s... It makes sense that the Clintons can see the writing on the wall of the extreme left leaning Democratic party.

The way the plan works is this... if the Republicans take back the House in 2010...

I think there is a good chance Hillary is going to win the Democratic nomination in 2012 because Barry will prove to be the most inept President ever...

...off the Clinton legacy. Clinton is trying to show that he still matters and that Obama isn’t the only hustler in town.

“Marxism and its fascist overtones.”

You are most accurate. Obama reminds me of Mussolini, and Benito borrowed heavily from Marx.

Could be Hillary and Bill Clinton are starting to realize that Obama’s appeal is plunging and that he will be vulnerable to a challenge for the RAT party nomination in 2012.

Maloney was also a favorite to win the senate seat in 200.She stepped aside and let Hillary have it.I guess this is just payback.

Politically...you are looking at the weakest president in recent US history. He has almost no true connections within the senate (that four-year stretch was unremarkable and he can’t name a single senator that he was truly friends with). This game he played early on in January...pretending he had political clout...has been mostly a joke. The shape of the stimulus bill...has nothing leading back to him.

So I think Clinton has picked a simple winner that is a sure thing. By October...Clinton will be picking a second player in his game. I also will predict that Hillary is finished with this state department game by early 2010, and resigns to become a political organizer. Both Clintons will play significant roles in Novembers elections of 2010.

McCarthy's probably who you are thinking of as the biggest gun grabber, but Maloney might as well be the same.

The only difference is that one's in Lawn Guyland and one's in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

You’re right, he is a weak little puppet. But the puppet masters are evil and they didn’t spend all of that money and time. They tanked the markets to get the Kenyan and their Commie agenda in. They won’t take it lying down and it could get ugly. The Clinton’s better watch their back. I can’t believe I’m rooting for the Clintons. But I don’t believe that Bill hates America and wants it destroyed.

We, and America need as much help as we can get. From any source including the Clintons.

This open sign of desention could be proof that they are opening fissures within the DNC camp. I think the Hussien and his henchmen are running roughshod over everyone. The Clintons and other dems are getting pissed. I would not be surprised to see them sabotage Hussein in key (and very visible) areas to show that he is not in complete control.

A civil war within the DNC would prevent them in pushing their leftist agendas. It would also give individuals in and out of the GOP to mount a political answer to this developing disaster a.k.a the Obama Administration and the Reid/Pelosi Congress.

The shoulder thing that goes up - 2012!

Gillibrand seems to posses a brain, or as much of one as is allowed in democrat circles. Maloney is a loud mouthed fool who has no business outside of a group home for the stupid, and I'm not suggesting that she would be a good counselor.

Here's the deal. The Clintons can control a dunce like Maloney. She will do what she's told and never question an order, nor report that she was ordered to vote a given way. Gillibrand might tell them to get lost.
