Interesting. Obama seems to lean toward the Shiite Muslims, even if he did bow low to the Saudi king. But the Sunni majority and the Arabs in general don’t necessarily want Iran and Syria to get any more threatening and destabilizing than they already are.

It would be amusing to see Obama allying with Iran and the Arabs covertly allying with Israel in response.

Israel is also solidifying relationships with Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, including maintaining facilities at a base in Kazakhstan that was used for space launches. The Iranians were going nuts about it and demanded that Kazakhstan not go forward with the agreement, but the agreement was signed anyway.

...it could be interpreted as a message to Iran and a demonstration of strengthening ties between Egypt and Israel.
It could also send a message that, "hey, a-holes, we have subs as well as nukes and missiles to deliver them."
