The term “progressive” was deliberately chosen by what true American patriots used to call “rat commie bastards” after we saw what the rat commie bastards were doing in the nations they managed to overthrow.
So, Meghan, if you are a “rat commie bastard” Republican, you are a rat commie bastard. It doesn't matter what you put after that term (journalist, teacher, preacher, prostitute). It is the descriptor of the thing being described and therefore takes prominence.
