DETROIT – Detroit police say at least seven teenagers have been shot near a high school and two are in critical condition.
Detroit Police spokesman Rod Liggons tells WXYZ-TV the victims were shot Tuesday afternoon at a bus stop by gunmen who emerged from a green minivan.
Detroit Public Schools Police Chief Roderick Grimes says at least five students attending classes at Cody High School were shot. He says two are in critical condition...

Detroit is a lost cause.
I met a guy here on Maui a few years back and he had just moved here from Detroit. I asked him why he moved and he said that he lived about two blocks from a fast food place but couldn’t let his two daughters go there alone as it was too dangerous.
He must have a pretty good job, and some money saved up, to move a family to Maui. You’d think he could have just moved to a better neighborhood in Detroit.
The shooter? Undoubtedly no prior criminal record, anti-abortion, pro-Israel, conservative republican, heterosexual, white, wife of twenty three years, two children, church goer. But he purchased a handgun last week and went INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!! Details at 6 on ABC.
Seven people wounded, five were students of Cody 9th Grade Academy, in a summer school program. Sounds like the shooters were waiting in a vehicle at the gas station across the street. They drove towards the bus stop, wearing something over their faces, and one of them may have said, “You know who we’re waiting for.” That’s a mix of early reports and live coverage, so probably about half wrong.
All things considered, I’d rather live in a city run by Republicans. Living in a Democrat-run city (Detroit, Newark, Oakland, Philly, Washington, D.C) can be hazardous to your health.

I was born and raised in Detroit...now live 150 miles away...trust me...in the city proper, there are no better neighborhoods.
In 2000, my elderly mother was mugged by two, young, strong, blackmen...when I checked with the police they told me to move her out, as she was just a target.
I did.
Detroit, is gone.

The question that haunts me is “When?”. When does the average ‘American’ say enough? We see temporary glimpses of backbone but they are short lived. We see individuals demonstrate simple decency but even those cases are become less common as the invasion continues.
Left unchecked, eventually the fight will come to your door in some fashion or another. We continue to move away from “it”, but “it” continues to follow.
Stay armed. Even those two ‘children’ of the future understand that concept.
