Conservative Ire Rains on 8 Republicans Who Voted for House Climate Bill
NY Times ^ | June 30, 2009 | By ALEX KAPLUN

In the wake of last week's landmark passage of the House climate bill, conservatives have focused their fury on the handful of Republicans who voted in favor of the sweeping legislation.

The eight Republicans are Mark Kirk of Illinois; Mike Castle of Delaware; Mary Bono Mack of California; Dave Reichert of Washington; John McHugh of New York; and Frank LoBiondo, Leonard Lance and Chris Smith of New Jersey.

Rush Limbaugh on his radio show yesterday accused the eight of voting for the bill sponsored by Democrats Henry Waxman of California and Edward Markey of Massachusetts because of Wall Street's influence and argued that they should be voted out in 2010 along with Democrats who supported the legislation.

"You've got these northeastern Republicans -- New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, it's all the same -- who are tied to Wall Street," Limbaugh said.

He added, "This is an outrage. This is something that everybody who voted for this thing needs to be sent packing because it wasn't even written."

Not to worry, they’ll get re-elected by their constituents anyway.

That’s it NYT, blame Rush. Like none of us can think for ourselves. Unlike the idiots who follow the NHT rag, we can and acutally DO have brains and don’t drink Koolaid. Gimme a break. And send these 8 packing in 2010, along with the other idiots that voted for it without reading it.

We can still inflict pain and suffering. Hopefully to the point that they don’t want to be re-elected.

I’ll almost guarantee that their constituents are happy with their votes. They have to get Democratic votes as well as Republicans. Chris Smith is a puzzle to me. I can hardly bring myself to call him a RINO, as he has always voted with the Republicans. This is the first time I can remember that he went against his party, and this time he went big!

That's what I'm worried about. The voting public has the attention span of a gnat with Alzheimers, and will most likely forget about this by election day.

Same with Mark Kirk. He usually can be counted on to vote conservative.

I wonder what the Chicago mob found on these guys?

Who cares if they republican? 219 representatives voted for it and we should remove all of them from office. 30 Democrats voted against it and I do not see much praising of them.

Instead of making Pelosi find all the votes necessary from her caucus, their voting Aye allowed eight Dems who knew they would suffer retribution to vote Nay.

Come on kenn, it shouldn’t require a Phd to see that the dems were given cover to vote nay (so they can go back to their districts and claim “I voted aganist it”), mainly because the 8 RINOs gave them the cover. Otherwise there had to be 8 of those dems who would needed to vote yea.

Yes, the second member of Sonny’s family to undergo a conversion in the space of a month.

Mark Kirk? Ha...he’s a big squishy RINO.

His stated political position mirrors the Dhimmicrat Party platform!

>> Same with Mark Kirk. He usually can be counted on to vote conservative. <<

Mark Kirk has never been a reliable conservative vote. I remember his first campaign for Congress. The "debate" between he and his RAT opponent was completely worthless since he just agreed with her on every issue they discussed. It got to the point where the two of them ended up fighting over who had better roots in the district, just to have something to actually "debate". He already agrees with the RATs on every major issue.

At this very time, in each district, Conservatives need to setup and find a strong candidate to run against the RINOS. This can be won - District by Discrict - and the people in the said Districts have to get out and help.

This can’t be done nationally. The Media has the attention of the people nationally, and as we are all aware of they are purely Marxist driven.
