Catastrophe (Good read on consequences of Zer0 in simple, understandable terms)

FP: How radical is Obama’s political agenda and what are the consequences if he fully implements it?

Morris: He will divide America into two classes: the tax eaters and the taxpayers. The former group will be about 60% of the nation that realizes a net profit on their dealings with the IRS. April 15th is a great day on their calendars. The latter group will be about 20% that pays all the taxes. With this arithmetic, he can raise taxes with political impunity.

But the most dramatic consequences are economic. The budget deficit is so big and the borrowing so immense that it will send interest rates way up, deepening the recession and prolonging it. Then, when times improve, we will face mega-inflation as all the money the fed has been printing comes out of hiding and floods the marketplace all at once and as doubts about the currency multiply, impelled by the expansion of the money supply

And then there is health care. He will ask 800,000 doctors in the U.S. to treat 300 million people as opposed to 250 million who are now insured. But there won't be any more doctors. In fact, with fee restrictions, there will be fewer. That means that less care will have to suffice for more people. The result will be rationing as in Canada. There, the cancer death rate is 16% higher than in the U.S. because of this rationing of medical care. It takes an eight week wait to get radiation therapy for cancer.

Sane, maybe, but definitely arithmetically challenged.

The former group will be about 60% of the nation that realizes a net profit on their dealings with the IRS. April 15th is a great day on their calendars. The latter group will be about 20% that pays all the taxes.

60 + 20 = 80.

If there are only TWO classes, then the sum of their respective percentages must be 100%.

And I personally know two of the “tax-eaters” who are thrilled
to think that the productive members of our society are now going to pay for everything for them. What they don’t realize is that pretty soon there won’t be enough “producers” in this country to pay for everything.

Then what happens???

Atlas Shrugs. Seriously the economy will go mostly underground, as it does in all socialist states. Eventually the government collapses due to inability to pay the bribes to the 60%. But that takes a long time and when it does happen there is usually very little left of the nation.

Dunno, perhaps there is a third class - those that break even? If so, 20% breakeven-ers plus 20% taxpayers, with 40%, is not enough to fix things, presuming those breakeven-ers vote.

And then, on top of income redistribution and government rationed health care, there is the carbon cap-and-trade scheme. I keep hearing that this massive tax will only affect polluters such as electric plants and manufacturing factories. Guess what? The price we pay for everything is linked to energy costs and manufacturing costs.

So energy will cost more to the average family, as the energy producers naturally pass along the extra costs to the consumer. Groceries and everything will cost more as transportation costs increase. Manufacturers still in the US will move elsewhere, creating even more blue-collar unemployment. The poor will cry out for relief. Save us, Obama!

And that will lead back to...guess what...raising taxes on the rich, corporations and polluters even more to bail out the ever-more-dependent poor, who now can't afford their electric bills and groceries.

It's a vicious cycle of dependence, designed to get the majority of Americans on the government dole, as a handful of "the rich" pay their "fair share", and the swelling ranks of the moochers become loyal socialist Democrats for life.

The rich and the corporations and the polluters can only be squeezed so far. Then tax revenues will drop off a cliff. What then, nation of moochers?

Yeah, we know all this, what we need are articles on how to stop him, how to get Americans to wake up and get more conservatives elected.

“Yeah, we know all this, what we need are articles on how to stop him, how to get Americans to wake up and get more conservatives elected.”

I do not think that’s necessarily true that everyone realizes this.

For example, many I talk to that don’t take politics as serious as I, did not realize that the Cap and Trade is actually a tax. They thought it was simply another environmental effort by the govt to help Americans. Now they know it will hurt us.

Same thing with Healthcare: Many think this is about the govt helping those poor people who do not have healthecare. they do not think this is really about govt control.

Education is the single largest item we can continue to pound. If Americans arm themselves with facts instead of media drivel, they will undertake to make the change.
