The prosecution in the corruption trial of former Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill and others gave jurors a tantalizing glimpse of what authorities called a web of intrigue in which black leaders solicited bribes from white developers because, they said, it was time for those developers to pay.
“The game has done changed,” defendant Darren Reagan is heard saying on an audio tape played during opening statements by the prosecution.
Defense opening statements were taking place this afternoon. In a surprising development, Hill's attorney, Ray Jackson, said his client would take the stand during the trial.
Prosecutors say Reagan used the Black State Employees Association, which represented no employees but orchestrated protests, to put pressure on white developers to pay bribes to Hill and others.
Reagan is heard saying on the recording that white developers had become wealthy off southern Dallas projects, and that it was time for them to pay.
On the wiretap recording, prosecutors say, Reagan is plotting with Allen McGill -- who has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit extortion -- to squeeze money from Bill Fisher, a white developer who is the principal informant in the government’s case.
“I love to see old Bill sweating like a pig,” Reagan says to McGill on the recording, adding that, “the days of offering a few donations are over.”
Prosecutors allege that hundreds of thousands of dollars ended up in the hands of Hill or the other defendants, much of it bribes from developer Brian Potashnik and his wife Cheryl.

That kind of intimidation has been given license, and the AG has signalled that from DC with his dismissal of the voter intimidation case against the Black Panther “poll watchers”.
Jesse Jackson commits these kinds of shakedowns all the time.
They already got rid of one IG who was hot on their black tails. That is just the beginning. My challenge..has someone ever found an uncurrupted black mayor, council member or state legislator? They simply don’t exist.
I have heard about this happening in other places, too. There are a lot of politically connected black building inspectors in one city I know, and I have heard that there is a definite problem but people are afraid to complain.
Considering that the victims of this shakedown were targeted because of their race, I would have really liked having “hate crime” added to the list of crimes.
I don’t normally quote Rush or even listen to him but I was listening this morning when he alluded to the fact that the Left’s intention is not to “level the playing field but to reverse it.” And, to paraphrase,they will use political correctness and imaginary white guilt as their vehicle.

He even copied my assertion ( yes, I jest a bit ) that all of 0bama's policies are de facto reparations.

Hate Crime charges will be brought against anyone that speaks out against this corruption.

Empowered, no kidding. This may be anecdotal, but it happened anyway. I was at a Wendys to get some lunch while in Louisiana after the election. There were several older white couples in line in front of me. Four black women came in and walked right in front of the line and then glared at the old white women as if to say, “Don’t you say nothing”. The old folks tried to be polite saying something like, hey the line starts back there, but they ignored them. I finally got my food, went out to the car just shaking my head. I don’t know if this was just an isolated event with a bunch of real rude people or if this was part of the new attitude of “We won”.
Since then, I have seen this happen quite a few times, but more people are getting back in their faces and making them adhere to some sort of manners. Anyone else see this happening? Just curious.

When the person behind the counter is black,

The proper response when faced with this overt bigotry is to overtly walk out, and declare that you will never patronize the establishment again.
Of course, you should also “spread the word” about the establishment.
I say for all conservatives who can afford to move out of a liberal area, city, or state, to move... and leave the turd world crap hole liberal cities, areas, states to the white liberals who brought us this mess....
And write letters to the management and owners that black racism is going on in their stores...
Once Tx and/or other states form a new republic,

The hatred does run deep. Unfortunately it is severely misdirected.
Not to worry. I have done my part for spreading the word. I travel a lot and have found that the good places to eat are populated with local old folks and/or law enforcement. I stop at those places only. Look for cop cars in the lot and you can count on good food and if something like the Luby’s incident in Killeen happens, there is a lot of firepower on site.
Tried that face to face with the manager. Ever heard this expression? It’s like teaching a card trick to a chicken. The chicken knows something is going on, but can’t quite figure it out. Useless.

I’ve seen a much more subtle variant here in Virginia. When a black customer is at the counter, it’s “Yes Sir” and “Yes Ma’am” and “Have a nice day”. When I get served, I’m lucky to get a grunt.
I know one who wears a beret and has a brother on the city council.
