MSM Ignoring The Victory In Iraq
Flopping Aces ^ | 06-29-09 | Curt

Posted on 06/29/2009 12:38:58 PM PDT by Starman417

We have victory in Iraq due to our brave military members, the brave Iraqi's who stood and fought for their country, and President Bush. But where is the MSM on this great day?

Iraqi government TV has been playing patriotic music to celebrate the U.S. military withdrawal from cities, towns and villages across the country, officially set to be completed by Tuesday June 30th.

Iraqi military vehicles were also covered with flowers to celebrate the event, and military parades, complete with band music, were organized in Diyala and Diwania provinces.

The government declared a "Day of National Sovereignty" to mark the event, and has invited ordinary citizens to join evening celebrations at Baghdad's Zawra Park for a festival of music and poetry.

Interior Minister Jawad Boulani told journalists the U.S. withdrawal is almost complete and Iraqi forces are capable of maintaining order across the country.

He says he believes Iraq's security situation is under control. "I do not think we need to declare a curfew," he insisted.

Why, their hiding because they said this day would never come. The left and the MSM (synonymous really) believed Bush would ruin everything he touches and now that they have been proven wrong they just ignore it or believe Obama fixed it, by doing the same thing as Bush of course, but why ruin a fantasy. They tell us all that Obama inherited this recession, its not his fault while at the same time trying to sell the case that he did not inherit the Bush victory in Iraq....it's all him baby.....sigh.

The obamedia Glee Club hates President Bush w/every fiber of their being. They can’t publish this for fear of giving him credit for the victory.

Happy Independence Day Iraq!

I pray you won't need Obamah's help to counter any disruptions.

If anyone out there can justify the current, let alone past attitudes of the MSM, please, for your own sake, see medical attention as soon as possible.
Honors to our troops, and blessings for those who did not come home.

If the media is mentioning it at all, they're saying the Iraqis are "rejoicing" at the withdrawal when in reality, they are delighted to be standing on their own. Most of them acknowledge whose blood and scarfice made that possible.

Meanwhile, we are on high alert. We expect a few bumps and I heard one bomb today.

Prayers for the success and stability of the Republic of Iraq.

What’s the big deal.

The “news” tv media pretty much ignored this last year amidst their transformations to the ObamaWorshipChannels.

The US won and no one noticed or cared.

Joining you in prayer, Allegra!

Thanks for the ping, STARWISE.

I'm actually glad that the media is basically ignoring it because I will be less nauseated by their lying and giving Obama credit for what he fought so hard to oppose.

I know I must not hate this man, but I struggle with the impulse daily.

You’re not alone.

My heart and prayers are with them all
over there. I could cry at the lack
of praise and celebratory hoorays and
headlines for this monumental day.

What must the troops be feeling ?
Heartbroken for them and all who’ve
given so much to make this happen,
especially hearing the puny and
begrudging thanks from the pretender.
Why even bother?

I may have missed it, but not even
the rats who fought victory (and
out intel and military every step
of the way) could put pride aside
to thank the troops, etc. for this
huge day.

All I know is Karma is a *itch. What
say you now, Harry Reid ?

STARWISE, I can't speak for all the troops, but I know that most of them didn't do this for thanks and they understand that the media has been against them from Day 1, so they probably don't expect any more or less on this great day. They know what they've accomplished.

I think that individually, the troops have been welcomed back as victors and thanked, but that collectively there are far too many cowards in this country who are afraid to voice their support and pride in the troops for fear of what others might say.

Go back and read the prophet Zacheriah and you may really feel sensational. Especially now when we see headlines indicating that Obama may try to take Jerusalem away from Israel and internationalize it. I’m keeping my eyes on the Eastern sky.

Well, I'm still in Kings in the OT in my read-through-the-Bible-in-a-year process, but I'll veer off course and read Zechariah.

There's a lot going on that makes me think we're in the last days.

Read especially chapters 12-14. With the way things are in the middle East, I don’t see how it can not be the last days.

God bless President Bush .. WE will never forget!

Indeed we will NEVER FORGET nor will Foxnews who is the only one reporting that GWB ignored the naysayers and pushed for the surge. I'm sure he's very pleased knowing this day would never be realized without his strong resolve. FNC even played Reid's words of defeat, lest voters forget his belief that all was lost.

Several pundits felt Obama should have acknowledged credit was due to the former President, foolishly believing he had the class to swallow his swollen ego and not take credit indirectly.
