It’s not really “my” point. It was from the Cliff Notes of Orwell’s novel written by an egghead who understands these things.
I read 1984 for the first time in of all years...1984 as a HS Junior. But I didn’t really read it. I just used the cliff notes and graduated HS.
Then 10 years later I really read it. As an adult. Scared the crap out of me. And it’s coming true. It was supposed to be a work of fiction, not a how to manual for liberals and authoritarians.
