At that time, the doctor had a reputation for keeping celebrities going with drugs. He was later indicted for malpractice, I believe.
In Jackson's case, he needed the drugs to keep him functioning so he could get thru the music tour. He didn't necessarily want to do the tour, but he needed to get out of debt.
This doctor Murray is probably going to end up the same way as JFK's doctor...fighting a major malpractice suit.
Interesting comment on Vidodine, maybe thats why I was still always in pain.
In 1991, had some hand surgery (several bones broken), vicodine did not seem to do anything but put me in a fog. Later, when I broke a collarbone, I passed on the painkillers.
I must disagree. I was given Demerol every 3 hours for a few weeks after a bad car accident. It is a true mind bender. I could not wait to get off it. I just recall one incident were my Doc gave me an injection of the stuff and proceeded to manipulate my broken leg bones. I could hear them move and thought it quite interesting. I was floating on a cloud.
How else can one do the moonwalking?
How did he live this long? Good grief!
That’s more than they would give a terminal cancer patient!!
Wow, and I thought Anna Nicole had enablers around her.
The big pharma co’s don’t like competition. That’s another reason why they keep pot illegal too.
This genetic condition causes large areas of the skin to lose their African pigmentation, and is quite serious because there are various other life-limiting conditions to which it is linked, particularly connective tissue disorders. Many companies have, over the years attempted to find drugs and chemicals that would help make the skin one uniform color. Most have proven at least very harsh, and some downright dangerous.
I think Michael Jackson started off with a serious condition, and was made far worse by "celebrity" doctoring.
Vicodine never did much for me either.
Not after Neverland is made into a black Graceland. His family will be rolling in it.
I’d ask if his doc was an affirmative action admission to med school but that would be racist and I am not a racist.
Expect the insurance industry to take a tumble on this as well with concert venue insurance likely to be filed.
Do you know what all those pills would do to the inside of your stomach?
That's a good point. Maybe HazMat should be in charge of his burial.
At least not without a prescription.
That;s nice! We have drug addicts writing laws for us.
I’ve had to initiate CPR a few times in my nursing career and I’m the first one to yell for the paramedics to come asap....you simply can’t operate without the ET tube, cardiac monitor, etc.
I also noted the headline mentioned the “frantic” 911 call and the guy who called 911 was actually cool and collected. Where was the “frantic”?
I never understood why every single one of them (including parents) did that pinched nose job. Was it to be like Michael or what?
He was probably already dead and the doctor knew it.
>>I was floating on a cloud.<<
Yes, that I can relate.
