Now you know the reason why they give Demerol to women in the throes of childbirth! They gave some to my daughter and she actually fell asleep between the pains.
Seems to have been a happy pill for Michael Jackson, too.
Ah yes, the sneeze. The sneeze and the first getting up will make you see STARS after a C-section. But it gets exponentially better each time. The more you get up, the better it gets. (Not that anyone should do housework after. You need to be a bit invalid for a couple weeks and have someone to help you and Bambino.)
I was on a morphine drip for the first 24 hours after my c section and actually was dreading the "getting up" at 12 hours post-op but felt perfectly fine. After 24 hours of the IV I begged them to get it out of me and just put me on the standard percocet. I stayed on that for the remaining stay in the hospital and never felt drugged or high, just normal. Was in the shower on day two, even bending over and shaving my legs with no pain. Stopped the meds when I got home except for a week later, right before the staples were to be removed. I took a percocet again and oh my, I was spinning, vomiting and felt high as a kite. I threw the bottle out that day. I guess point is that for me, when first being "cut in half", the pills kept me feeling normal but for medium or minor pain, those painkillers are a doozy!
*Demerol (Vistaril to add to the “reality-altering effect)
*Dilaudid
*Vicodin
*Soma
*Zoloft
*Paxil
*Xanax
And they talk about him being “a very gentle soul that was taken advantage of.” Now we know the rest of that story.
The Minister said: God is neither black nor white, neither male nor female, neither adult nor child- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -To which the choir sang: Hallelujah, we always knew that Michael Jackson was God
Husband was prescribed that after outpatient surgery. He took one for the pain when we got home, and after that said he'd tough it out rather than take more of that (profane word).
Thank you for clarifying that for me.When i typed “750 ml”,
I knew I made a mistake when I posted it.
Also, I did not know the drug nomenclatures, so I thank you for that.
I guess my main point was that I quit taking those things and dealt with the pain, rather than being “dopey” for the duration.
Being “dopey” already comes naturally to me.
sadly true.
