Boehner took over an hour when he was supposed to have 21/2 minutes.Waxman was whining about it then yeilded his time to Pelousy.I had to change the channel-its almost supper time.Havin popcorn afterward.
I wish he would have kept the floor all night. He was great and a pleasure to listen to. He made fools of the democrats.
Boehner is great. But what does it really matter? What votes will change? I’ve called everyone I can think of, including people not in my district.
Pelosi wouldn`t be having the vote count now if she didn`t have enough of them to pass the tax and control bill on everything.
The Senate may kill it but sooner or later the USA is F****D.
I’ve got a question here... Is that a “real filibuster”? I read in another thread that he had the right to read the bill. But, reading the bill is not a filibuster. A filibuster would be talking or reading anything for however long you can do it, until you give up... LOL...

Rep. Yvette Clarke just said on Cspan that she was voting for the bill because it would “jettison” the USA into the future.

It was a vote on a republican substitute for the cap-n-tax.It was defeated.
This is exactly what they need to do win or lose. Lead damnit lead! It isn’t that difficult. I know Republicans and Conservatives often see futility in such things but it is this taking the opportunity to demonstrate that you know how and are willing to fight that makes people want to fight with you. It is the bitter sniping that does not win battles or allies.

I don't see any reason why he shouldn't read the bill into the Congressional Record. What's got Waxman and Pelosi twisted up is that the bill is no longer secret. So much for their open transparent government! It's not John's fault it's more than 1,200 pages long. That would definitely take more than an hour to read. /sniff

Filibuster? Just reading the entire bill aloud to the American people should take hours! They should do this with every bill.

There are no filibusters in the House of Representatives-- never have been. A majority can force a vote on any bill. Filibusters are only in the Senate.
