The heifers are gone -- and that has put a snag in a key element of a proposal aimed at settling disputes involving a property trust once controlled by a polygamous sect.
The Utah Attorney General's Office and attorneys for the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints learned Monday via a footnote in a court filing that the fiduciary managing the trust had sold young cows at Harker Farm.
The footnote, in a document filed by attorney Jeff Shields on behalf of Bruce R. Wisan, noted that the trust's cash crunch had been eased "slightly" by the sale, which an FLDS attorney said he was told generated $360,000.

Without the cows there is no dairy; without the dairy there is no income. The accountant tried to sneak this move under the radar. It's time for him to go.
Just because you dislike a group of people, that does not mean you can trample the Constitution to "get" them. The Constitution is to protect everyone, even the FLDS.
“The trust is at least $3 million in debt, funds owed mostly to Wisan and his attorneys. “
Figures.
This is the guy who a judge appointed to run the affairs of the FLDS. Three million dollars in debt! I hope he goes to jail. You know there’s another case in the works in which this same accountant is accused of participating in illegal entry of FLDS private homes.
Come on, people. The Constitution is the Constitution, not just for some but for all Americans.
Surely you can’t justify this accountant selling the cows right in the middle of court-ordered negotiations.
The accountant had best watch his back. In some parts of the country, that kind of self-dealing will git you found at the bottom of a mine shaft - full of holes.
