Now THAT’S entrepreneurship. Passengers can bring their own guns, or rent them on board. BWAHAHAH!

Perhaps companies in the U.S. should set up some hunting parties too. It beats ‘paint balls’. Aw the smell of fresh gunpowder!

Frankly, I think this is someone that was taken in by the joke email that has been floating around (and has been posted multiple times on FR).
Or, it's someone that decided to capitalize on the joke and try to propagate it further.

I remember that discussion. There are cruises for cooks, knitters, singles, seniors - why not a cruise for gunowners?

They’re down because the southwest monsoon has kicked in - seas get really rough, small boat ops are really pretty impossible. The spate of attacks was between monsoons when the sea is calm.
To: Strategerist
Ah, OK. Well, any ship that goes near that area has a right to defend itself.

I like it too. I like it a lot! The £3,500 price is a bit steep. Maybe people can get sponsored by shipping companies like Maersk Alabama.

‘The £3,500 price is a bit steep.’
Yes, but it’s not nearly as steep as the price a pirate will end up paying if he tries to board that Russian ship.

Or they could set up on-line shoots where you use your computer at home matched to camera & gun on the ship. Reality meets x-box. Credit or Debit card.
Military channel had a good program about SEALS and the Alabama Maersk on TV last night.
To: dvan
Have they set a limit on pirates per day? No, but you have to clean what you shoot...

Russians are descended from Vikings--you know, the kind of guys who who would hack open both sides of a captured enemy's back along the spine with an axe, and pull the lungs through the slits.
Waterboarding? Just playtime for the tykes.
To: dvan
Have they set a limit on pirates per day? 20 per day, 40 in possession.

For £3,500 per day customers can sail along the coast of Somalia at low speed to entice a pirate into attacking. There's no way this vacation will not end in disappointment. If I'm paying about $7000 a day the pirates better charming, swashbuckling, semi-drunk, sword-fighters who all look like Johnny Depp. But they don't.
I can see cooler boats at the Bass Pro Shop. And they have free fudge.
