Being 5.7 iniitially, it will likely be downgraded to 5.2 or so at the end of the day anyway, even less serious.

A 5.7 located 35 miles deep will be noticed by seismologists and maybe a can of beans on a store shelf, but I doubt it.

I know this is going back a ways, but can anyone remember what the Richter reading was for the 1964 Good Friday quake in either Anchorage or Juneau? The epicenter of this awesome quake was a mere 45 miles west of Valdez and 14 miles under the earth's crust. Initial shocks lasting over five minutes affected nearly all of the coastal communities of Alaska.
The magnitude of this quake measured 8.4 - 8.6 on the Richter Scale and was reported as a 9.2 Moment Magnitude (Mw).

Lasting nearly five minutes, it was the most powerful recorded earthquake in U.S. and North American history, and the third most powerful ever measured by seismograph. It had a moment magnitude of 9.2 and registered 8.4 on the Richter scale.[1]

"I hope that it is just a good shaker no major damages or injuries... prayers upwards..."We felt a definite rolling motion, strong enough to knock someone off balance, but I don't believe there was much damage. My first guess was around M4.0, so I was surprised to see M5.7. Alaska has over a hundred quakes a day, and every once in a while, we get one we can actually FEEL. LOL!

Magnitude 5.7 is a small quake for Alaska.
The oil pipeline recently withstood a 7+ earthquake, as I recall...
However, there still can be injuries/deaths with the smaller quakes...

Actually, Michigan and other midwestern states do get the occasion minor quake as the earth continues to rebound after being compressed for thousands of years under miles of ice.
Red Puma, a good source for info about quakes worldwide, lists the Alaska quake as 5.9:
