Sen. John McCain started Father's Day on "Fox News Sunday," but he said he'll spend the rest of the day on the phone, chatting with his seven kids.
The Arizona Republican said fathers need to give their kids "support, understanding -- and sometimes that support has to be a little tough love."
He said that he often felt pressured to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both Navy men, and said that parents should give their children choices.
"I hope that I'm a good father," McCain said.

"Disagreed that McCain will learn anything. Hes so full of himself that he sh*ts little McCains." |

Does this MFSOB ever shut up?
Poor Cindy.
From one father to another, Johnny......please tell your daughter to STFU.
And follow that advice yourself.
Good, John.
Now, go home and be a good father.
Thank you
Didn’t he raise that foul mouthed and fat drama queen of a daughter?
Looks like he failed at that job too.
No matter how good or bad a father he is, he is better at that then he is at politics.
It’s a good thing her headboard is padded...
She can’t stand the repetitive bumps to that head of her’s...
We will see if he is a good father when his grandchildren are born.
I guess; if it’s okay to have extra-marital affairs followed by a divorce from the mother of your teenage daughter.
I don’t have any criticism of his fathering skills. I just don’t agree with his statism.
Barack Obama appreciates your help for the last election. S
Amazing how many people loved seeing Obama win the election.
Please tell me you do not have any children especially daughters.
Obama appreciated your help last November.
My hope is any of the people making nasty comments here about him don’t have any kids.
Sometimes it’s hard to separate the person from the politics. However, that’s the most logical and effective way to argue against someone’s ideology. I admit to not being perfect in this regard myself.
What should he have done the fake piece crap that Obama had all over the place this morning?
Amazing how many so called conservatives took a big dump on Reagan’s memory last November. Anyone who stayed home, voted third party or especially For obama has never been a conservative because no conservatives would ever take a dump on Reagan’s grave who always said fight in the primaries and unite in the general election.
But you don’t love your country enough to see it was more important that anyone but Obama be PResident.
I would have accepted no difference between him and Hillary but not Obama.
No true conservative stayed home, voted third party or voted for Obama last November. A true conservative would have stayed true to Reagan’s view to fight in the primaries and unite in November.
Especially disgusting were the losers who actually said Reagan would have stayed home!
No by not voting for McCain which everyone who wasn’t so consumed with hate would have seen was far different from Obama is supporting him.
I don’t claim to know what Reagan would or wouldn’t have done. That is somewhat irrelevant, however. The fact of the matter is that McCain is a statist. If Republicans choose to run statists, they will continue to lose.
You obviously provide plenty of food for your children Juan.
Hey, newbie...conservative != Republican.
Now, run along, and stop asking me to prove my conservative credentials by voting for non-conservatives.
“...I take you (N) to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until be are parted by death. This my solemn vow.”
Increase your meds...
Your premise that "people loved seeing 0bama win" is flawed but there are many many good reasons that conservatives can't stomach McCain.
There’s not enough medication in the world to help this individual. This is a WORLD CLASS obsession. Right up there with the Pubbie Party’s delusion that conservatives owe IT their vote and their obeisance no matter WHO their candidate is... They are sick and rexgrossmansonlyfan is equally ill.
What logic?
Ah, no, you’re not. The proof is in the pudding, McCain.
Rex Grossman has a fan?
That’s a Bud, right?
Yes, McCain did all he could to ensure Obama’s victory didn’t he? I am sure that he appreciates not only that but Juanito’s continued support.
“Amazing how many so called conservatives took a big dump on Reagans memory last November.”
You mean like Juanito does on a regular basis?
“No by not voting for McCain which everyone who wasnt so consumed with hate would have seen was far different from Obama is supporting him.”
There was an article posted here earlier today wherein McJerk stated that Obama was doing a fine job. I would challenge you or any other Republican Party First person to tell me on any credible issue where McJerk would have done anything different that Obama has.
very well said.
maybe it’s rex grossman.
Thank you!

LOL! That would explain a lot.
She bought him fair and square.
Something on your mind?
For your edification, and written completely without the use of potty words:
Conservative ≠ Republican
Conservative ≠ John McCain
Conservative ≠ Hillary Clinton
Conservative = someone who aligns themselves with conservative social and economic values and beliefs.
I think some of you are seeing my comment as anti-Israel or something.
It was a tongue in cheek comment based on Obama’s clear disregard for Israel’s safety. 100% of Isrealis should be able to understand that Israel’s safety is not his top priority. Nationhood for Israel’s number one terrorist enemy is.
The issue in the United States with Obama becoming President is a much more complex matter. There are a myriad of issues that will be addressed by Obama, and it’s much easier to employ subterfuge in that type of environment. While some things may bother a Democrat, they can still point to others where they agree with Obama.
What’s to agree with if you’re an Israeli? There’s one issue, and it’s one of Israel’s continued existence.
Not to infer that she’s a stupid dupe, because I don’t believe her to be, but I think she got taken in this deal.
The reason McCain isn’t all that disturbed by John Kerry, is that McCain followed the Kerry game plan to a tee. Both married into money. (perhaps Kerry followed John’s plan, since I’m not sure who married into money first)
John is a pimple on the ass of this nation. I’m sorry Cindy is connected to him. Still, in the end, she is, and she made that choice.
I totally agree. It was the deal she made when she went after another woman's husband, and other childrens' father, though.
I'm always amazed when anyone is amazed that scoundrels willing to throw their partner overboard end up not being great partners to the next spouse when they as much as advertised that they were unfaithful weasels.

McCain went first (1980, according to Wikipedia).
Lurch married the Catsup Lady in the mid-90's (according to Wikipedia, 1995), and to his credit (I am shocked to discover) he'd been divorced from his first wife since 1988. There. I said something nice about John Kerry. That flapping sound you hear is the pigs rustling their wings in preparation to fly.

She seems like a sincerely nice person. I feel sorry for her. We all make mistakes. It looks like she married hers.
Thanks for the response. That was a good point about Cindy jumping in before John was available. I had forgotten about that. John broke the sound barrier when ending his first marriage to start the second.
It’s kind of a tough concept for me to think of Cindy with respect in light of that. I was somewhat off base wasn’t I.

I don't think you were, no. Perhaps I was too harsh. She was younger when they met and much younger than John McCain (19 years, iirc). Young people are notoriously bad judges of situations and sometimes of people. That doesn't excuse anything; but it probably goes a ways toward explaining it. S
he has done a lot charity work and seems like a nice woman who has made some bad decisions.
I’m sure he fed her a line. “Oh, we haven’t been living as husband and wife for years.” (an example of what I had in mind)
I think your comments are reasoned. I don’t think she should get a complete pass on it though. I appreciate the response.
