Reminiscent of Orwell’s book 1984, soon all television broadcasts may carry Dictator in Chief Barack Hussein Obama and his message all of the time. Joining NBC (the New Barack Channel), ABC (the All Barack Channel) will now begin broadcasting from the White House. We assume CBS (perhaps the Central Barack Station?) will follow its betters soon and announce that it too will officially become an Obama mouthpiece.
By the way, no opposing viewpoints will be carried or allowed. ABC also plans to run a free-to-Obama campaign promoting the dictator’s healthcare plan.
Does anyone at all remember the name Hugo Chavez? Obama now overtly and formally controls US network news. This is a substantive sign of Tyranny.
And in the true spirit of his tyranny, Obama has been releasing at least one horrific piece of information almost each and every day—the latest being his control of the news. Tyrants release shocking information each and every day until the now-ruled member population becomes numbed to it...

I think an FCC protest would be in order. Though there is no Fairness Doctrine per se, one might argue for collusion between a network and its regulator government. We aren’t infringing on anyones free speech campaign. I think even PBS has some rules, they might apply here if ABC is acting instead of PBS..
I heard mention of an article in a recent Vanity Fair about the unprecedented controlling of media via the Obama administration, be it social info or political info.
It’s becoming fashionable to enjoy limited TV or no TV these days. And cable thinks it’s because of the recession!

They are not acting as “an agent of any government entity,” rather said government entity kindly allowed people “more access” to everyday process of government than “very secretive” previous administration, from which this “government entity” inherited all kinds of domestic and foreign policy problems.
Without the sarcasm, though, I’d always prefer to deal with the entities that are self-assured enough to allow themselves to drop the pretense and the masks of impartiality, evenhandedness or morality.
As they say, “now that I know who you are, we can talk about the price” and it didn’t cost us anything to find out who they are. That’s the kind of transparency we should welcome, not complain about!
