Dont these places have bullet proof glass?

Why in the world would you think that a place selling 99c tacos can afford that?

Of course— why didn’t I think of that?

The first sentence of the story says he was pointing it “at people”. I based my comment on that.

Line of sight.

Little hard to tell what or who somebody is scoping unless it’s pointed right at you.

Scoping in a public place is stupid. The kid is lucky the LEO didn’t have a bit more range time.

If he were a good politically correct cop he should have disregarded the kid with a gun and put out an APB on two white men in a white van.

Extremely lucky.

How true.

Clearly the man needs more training.

I know the people on this board have high standards, but can’t we get in at least a little bit of praise for the cop who hit this genius in the right arm, disablilng him, not seriously hurting him, from something like far away?

“range time.”

Or since I was not there and don’t know the shooting angles and distances, the kid could have been lucky his arm took the round not his torso.

Since scoping would put the right arm near the center of the torso.

The kid is lucky the LEO didn’t have a bit more range time.

Depending on the angle, hitting him in the arm may have been center of mass. It could be that the kid is lucky the LEO didn't have more gun.

many people here have weapons and us the scope for more than just shooting. I will say that this is not smart in down town.

“The boy was hit in the right arm by a round that traveled the length of the parking lot, Lammers said.”

See my post 31. We were not there and don’t know the angles or distances involved. Holding a rifle and looking through the scope brings the right arm up near the center of the torso.

The arm might have just got in the way of a good hit.

Yes they do. I have a 1,200 fps hunter and my 7 year old son shoots a “youth” model that fires at about 700 fps.
