A hardcore pornographic movie was accidentally screened at PS 17 in Brooklyn, N.Y., school officials said. Students from five classes at the school had assembled to watch "Camp Rock," a Disney Channel movie starring the Jonas Brothers, but after a teacher powered up the DVD player and walked away to get the Disney movie, a skin flick began to play, the New York Post reported Sunday.
The students, some as young as 5-years-old, were exposed to 45-seconds of sex acts in the incident late last month, the newspaper said.
"My son told his friend he saw a naked lady at school," said Rona Easton, whose 6-year-old son, Cass, viewed the snippet with his kindergarten class. "I thought he was just being silly. It's appalling."
Principal Robert Marchi sent home a letter to parents the day of the incident.
"A very explicit pornographic video came on the screen," Marchi wrote. "This was extremely upsetting to the students and staff members in attendance. ... I am deeply sorry that this episode took place at PS 17. I know that we will make every effort to find out who was responsible for this despicable act."
How were the reviews? /sarc. You can rely on our educational system for a few err err err
Look on the bright side; at least it wasn’t a homosexual porno.
I am hard pressed to believe it was an error. Things like that don’t happen by mistake, sorry. You always check what you are playing to make sure its right in an auditorium full of anyone. You also don’t press the button and then walk away before it even starts, because it might not, and then you have to fix it. Sorry, this is just a way for them to begin their “healthy dialogue” about what they saw, so “counselors” can be on hand to answer questions etc. Nothing to see here, move along.......
Now their parents can... GULP teach them right from wrong.
Not the first time this has happened in recent months.
How do they don't know what is in their film library?
Perhaps the person was used to powering up the machine when it was empty, then opening the door, putting in the disk, and closing it to start a movie; the person might not have considered that turning the machine on, even without pushing any other buttons, might cause something bad to start playing.
Did someone leave the “family” movie Land of the Lost in the DVD player?
perhaps, but, doesn’t prudence dictate that you would have at least checked the machine prior to an assembly?
The first wrongdoing was warehousing the kids by showing them Disney movies instead of educating them.
Perhaps a few of the maintenance guys had used the player to watch porn and forgot to remove the DVD afterward. Of course they're not suppose to be doing that in an elementary school anyway. I'd bet that's what happened.
Those darned AV guys!
(Do they still have AV guys?)

That’s almost certainly what happened.
Perhaps a how to for teachers and students in the lizard lounge. Who cares how it got there, I say. The fact that kids are under sexual assault in their schools should be enough to get alot of folks fired.
I remember a whole lotta sqwauking going on about the priest sex scandal several years back. I wonder how close the count is to them now, with no end in sight, and even more bizarre sexual stuff going on in the schools. Not that either are right, both are deplorable, but one group is hated by the liberals, and one group IS the liberals. Would be interesting to see the stats, the discipline of both, and, more importantly, are school systems getting sued out the wazoo for these student abuses? What are the monetary damages awarded to both sides. Could be an interesting comparison........
“Kids if you want some fun...Mr. Lapage is your man....”
Lol! That's probably what the guy or gal who put it there is saying!
Yeah - Disney is almost as bad - what does that trash have to do with education?
Yep. That fine line between "school" and "daycare" was leapt over...and then there was pr0n...
But in 6 years they’ll be rolling condoms on bananas in that same classroom.
