Passers-by were shocked to see rowdy bikini-clad students struggling to stand up and vomiting at midday on a Sunday afternoon.
This year for the first time in 80 years the garden party, organised by the Wyverns, an all-male Magdalene College drinking society, had to be held in a new location after officials banned students from holding the event on university land.

I have never seen such public drinking as in England and Ireland. It was one thing to watch the profoundly drunk youths on New Year’s Eve in Galway, but quite another to see grown people in business clothes lurching down the street in the main financial district of London, barfing in the gutters.

England has a long history of this. Here is "Gin Lane" by Hogarth, 1700's.

Excessive drinking at a college? I’m shocked by this. If you want to see something really revolting take a look at what they teach in the classrooms...
To: Albion Wilde
Was thinking the same....this is not as bad as New Year’s Eve with your accountant or your yoga instructor passed out on a bus bench half-clothed and covered in barf! LOL!

That’s pretty much my take on it too.
I will say that I wish more of these kids would learn that while drinking in moderation may add to their pleasure, drinking to excess will not add to their pleasure, and will most certainly expose them to serious trouble.
And surprise surprise, you can have one hell of a good time without drinking at all.

The real question is, “Are you drunk enough?”. I do not think I’ve ever been that drunk, else I’d be dead by now.
