President Obama pushed hard Monday for a health care overhaul, saying the system is "a ticking bomb" for the budget that could propel America down "the route of GM" without a legislative fix.
Obama went before the American Medical Association in Chicago to declare anew that the existing system leaves too many uninsured and forces "excessive defensive medicine" by doctors worried about malpractice suits.
He also declared once again that he does not favor socialized medicine and cautioned people to beware of "scare tactics and fear-mongering" by critics who make this claim.
Obama did tell his audience of physicians and health care professionals that he's "open" to requiring all Americans to have health insurance, while stressing that the plan would permit continuing assistance for those who cannot afford it on their own.

Obama's real goal is to have universal government health care, which means artificial price controls, fewer doctors and hospitals, long waits for treatment resulting in unnecessary deaths, lower quality, and lack of freedom to decide what treatment is best. Obama and his Socialist Congress want to dictate to us the medical care we are "allowed". We will be told that it's illegal to pick our own doctor or hospital, even if we can pay for it. This deprives me of my right to life and liberty.
Where in the Constitution is the president or the Congress empowered to dictate my medical care?
Contrary to Obama's "spin", with which he claims that failure to have more government control will bankrupt the U.S., government control is The Problem.

Confounding one’s opponents is a major tactic for winning.
Throwing their own prime conclusions against them, regardless of correctness/applicability, goes a long way to this end by leaving it to them to explain, to a disinterested populace, what the difference and truth is.
Accusation: nationalized health care will bankrupt the US.
Rather than rhetorically taking that correct accusation on, just throw it back at the opponents.

Whne my kids were born, the delivering doctor’s bill was $200 and hospital bills weren’t much more.
What happened?
A boom-time post WW-II America led to an oversupply of lawyers.
Added to that, an undersupply of common-sense Americans led to more lawyers, more lawsuits, higher-price malpractice insurance, unsecure medical students switching over to law school — more lawyers and fewer doctors.
What is needed? Laws to protect medical practicioners from lawyers (malpractice suits), and ... fewer lawyers.
How much would it cost to impeach and remove 0bama? OK, but that’s it! Thats all the more money I’m willilg to spend!! -

The solution to skyrocketing medical costs is free enterprise. Competition always ensures high quality and lower prices. We need far less government involvement, not more.
