At this point my gut tells me that Christie will probably win even though NJ really is notorious in their voting patterns.

Re-read the article. 56% is Corzine’s *disapproval* rate (his approval rate is only 36%).

Moose, sorry about that. I wrote my post before you had re-read the article, and forgot to hit “post” until just now (after you had clarified that Corzine had a 56% disapproval rate. My apologies.

It is inconceivable that 40% of the NJ electorate would vote for this guy.

Look, our system cannot work with a destructive minority of this size. It just can't.

Even if a Republican wins, the opposition is disloyal and acts in a way to prevent successful government.

We need a new arrangement - preferably one where only contributing members of society vote. The alternative is very ugly.

Much of that is bs. Although I have come across a few similar to that crew . They don’t scare me, most of it is loud screaming & hair pulling. Why anyone would put their life on tv is beyond me.

“So true. How funny that Republicans always poll well until election night...”

I’m sure ACORN, who will be flush with porkulus cash by then, will have this handled for the dems. I have no faith in New Jersey polls.

“New Jersey polls change a lot on the way to election day.”

Re: Torricelli — and New Jersey CANDIDATES sometimes change on the way to election day. That was a hell of a travesty of justice with the NJ Supremes allowed the dems to switch to Lautenberg when Torricelli was headed for defeat, even though the deadline for a swapout had long passed.

Norm, I think you’re right, NJ’s economy is so bad, their taxes and debt so high that this might be a repeat of 1993, my fingers are crossed.
