After Playboy put out a list of the top ten conservative females they would like to hate f@##$, in which Megyn Kelly was listed, Megyn Kelly gets a few words in.
(Excerpt) Read more at stoptheaclu.com ...
Playboy has already died. They had to combine two monthly issues into 1 this month because they ran out of money.
Print magazines are dead in general, much less those that compete against free internet porn.
You mean guys didn’t really buy it for the articles like I did?
Still. hard to post a monitor on a dorm door!
The video has been removed. Do we have a printed excerpt?
yes. I’d like to read her response as well.
That’s “ripping playboy apart”?
I don’t know what it’s going to take, but it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than that to counter the kind of hate playboy displayed towards these women.
Vile? That’s lame.
A shout-out for war is more like it.
Apparently it’s either a snorer or they wised up. Even the site that proudly announced in the Comments that it captured the article now presents a “File Not Found” error.
Pity. Their imagery of Michelle Malkin in a cheerleader’s outfit was an unexpected, er, pleasure.
Try again. The video is still there.
Compared to the rips other conservative women are able to unleash, this just seems like a indignant whiffle bat slap.
No luck. It’s removed period!
For anyone who saw the original article, this was so far beyond vile it was ghastly. I’m not easily offended, but this wasn’t so much a matter of being offensive in the prurient sense; it was unquestionably hate-speech of the most pubescent kind and to think it got by an editor even for a minute is inexcusable. To attempt to backpedal and cover it up with a lame distractive excuse is like someone coming over to your house, taking a big fat dump on your floor, and saying “excuse me”. Unbelievably poor taste and judgement on Playboy’s part.
It still plays for me.
OK...but Megyn Kelly is hot.
I just watched it.
It had articles?
Saw some of the original Playboy piece the other day on a thread here ... what’s particularly odd abut the whole thing is that Playboy mag is now run by a woman, Hefner’s daughter Christie.
Hopefully she’s packing heat.
“hate f@##”?
How about Nazi rape terrorism?
This is a concept so far beyond vile, it should be prosecutable as assault.
Good for Megyn. This article is reprehensible in the way it objectifies and diminishes women and implicitly calls for violence.
I will give them credit, though. For the most part, they picked some attractive women. They’re proving that our women are more attractive than theirs.
I’m sure Ann Coulter is upset that she wasn’t included.
And it was entirely hypocritical of Playboy to remove the article. It is preserved on the web, however, at http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2009/06/02/the-playboy-article-nsfw/ so Palyboy can’t hide the shameful thing they did.
Playboy was on my list 25 years ago as a subscriber. Promoting rape of conservative women will be the death knell.
Porn costs money?
This is an ugly in-road into our society and our real men must do more than speak up- they gotta start kicking some ass.
There are some people among us who need a good fist in the mouth, like that smarmy little fag who berated Miss California over her 'opinion' on gay marriage. Was it about 'gay marriage'?, hell no. It was about a woman this little co*ksucker could never compete with when it comes to attracting a 'man'. She threatened his homo appeal in ways he'll never understand.
To let these events rise to national attention without an adequate response is detrimental. The only way this story works is when Perez Hilton is in a dentist's office trying to get his teeth fixed. He had it coming, believe me.
It's a pretty simple formula: you attack my women, I attack you back. As a society we need to send a message.
"Leave our girls alone."
What’s truly sad is that I know a lot of liberals who have made comments to me in that same vein. Things like “I’d like to rape Ann Coulter”, just to give one example.
W. Cleon Skousen, damn BYU alum that he was, had it right when he said that Communists will do and say just about anything toward their political enemies.
I agree with Megyn that Playboy certainly didnt display respect for women by allowing these lousy comments on their site, but lets be clear here.
Playboy has never respected women for anything other than their ability to sell magazines by exposing their private parts to the public on its pages.
Many lovely women have been sold on the idea that shaving and exposing their privates, was the way to popularity and success.
Frankly, I would have rather seen them dress up in classy clothes and tell me more about themselves, than make up stories that will only lead other women to go down the same rabbit hole.
Hugh, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Ladies, so should you. And guys, those of you who support this publication, so should you.
Hey, they are just targeting the Muslim market now that they know we are one of the biggest Muslim nations....
Playboy really crossed the line with this. There is no rational excuse for naming specific women to be raped.
Playboy has always hated women.
I haven’t seen a Playboy in years but if you go to that link in post 21 it is something totally different, antisexual and more angry than anything I remember from the old Playboy.
geesh...where to begin with some of you.....
this is why evil and the bama voters won...we have too many "conservatives" that are insanely superficial and oblivious....
and another thing, boys.......it used to be that real men would defend women no matter what....a husband or father or brother in the olden days would never stand for this treatment....
We still do. I am part of the dinosaur class I guess.
Ansel, in my youth I gave a far amount of Playboy magazines a once over. To be honest, it wasn’t something I would go spend money on, but every kid gets exposed to it at some point in time.
Your observation may be right on target. I haven’t really checked Playboy out in quite a while.
When you get right down to it though, it’s always been a seedy magazine ripping off women for a buck. I will say though, it has been one of the classier magazines in the field, because there are others out there that make Playboy look like a church pamplet.
I’ve never dated any woman I would like to have seen expose themselves in Playboy. And if I don’t want my girl friend or wife exposed there, it’s just not right for me to want other women to be.
I’m not as big a prude as this makes me sound, but it strikes me that it objectifies women to the point that young men don’t see women for who they are as much as what they can get from them.
I think that leads to many an unsuccessful relationship, and in all too many instances, there are kids involved too.
I know my brother and I never tolerated much of anything from the prepubescent little creeps my sister dated and associated with when she was growing up. Thankfully, she did marry a good guy, or else there would have been hell to pay. :)
True, but they’ve crossed a new line here.
Hope they’re ‘man’ enough to take the blowback.
As I got into my mid twenties I started seeing Playboy as kind of the “mama’s boy” magazine, it was like looking at your well built sister, there was something sterile and artificial about it. The woman didn’t seem to be the subject, it was almost as if us looking at the sterilized woman was the subject.
Yes, the air brushing did give that artificial look to them. It also made a lot of really cute girls look ho hum by comparison. Even the girls in those photos didn’t look like that.
Well said. Where have all the real men gone?
Reporting live, from Northern California.
Yes, it is a weird thing for a guy to say on it’s surface, but something has always been wrong about Playboy and I mean ignoring morality and porn issues etc, there was always something wrong psychologically at Playboy.
If you haven't read it, here's a link to the playboy.com piece by Guy Cimbalo. There is no nudity, but I guarantee that any conservative will find this extremely offensive:
http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2009/06/02/the-playboy-article-nsfw/
I expect that redstate.com will be asked to remove the piece soon, since it is probably copyrighted. If you want to show others how low the left will go, save your own copy.
How do we do that? I can take a picture of my screen, do we have to do it in pieces or is there an easier way?
Just save the web page. In Firefox, click File, Save Page As, etc. In Internet Explorer click File, Save As, and save it as an MHT file.
If that is not enough info let me know.
I did the IE version, is that now my permanently owned file on my hard drive?
Probably. If you want to make absolutely sure, disconnect from the Internet, double click the MHT file, and see if all the images and text are present. Unless you disconnect from the Internet you can't always be sure that you aren't looking at linked data that is on the Internet, not on your computer.
When I clicked on it, it made an internet connection and took me back to the site.
The MHT file contains links. When you load the page in IE, those links try to reconnect. If you are offline, it will take a few seconds for IE to give up on connecting to those links and display the page. If your MHT file is 1.83 MB (right click, Properties) then you have everything.
Has Obama released a statement on this? Any word that US Marshalls are protecting these declared targets of domestic terror?
Okay... I went to the Red State site and read the Playboy thing. ...That’s it? That’s all?
It’s 8th grade boy’s gym class stuff, but with no discernible point to it.
Whatever.
I agree.
