Meghan McCain Accuses Brian Williams of 'Bowing' to President Obama

Meghan McCain is not happy with NBC's Brian Williams. Why? According to McCain, the television anchor is so enamored with President Barack Obama that he committed the unforgivable sin of "bowing" before the man during his exclusive White House fluff piece that aired this week.
Here's video of the offensive gesture in question.
(Video at link)
And here's McCain, firing off her disapproval via Twitter:
McCainBloggette: Brian Williams just bowed to Obama? WTF, I mean seriously press corps we all know how you feel about him but now your [sic.] bowing to the President?
McCainBloggette: interpret it as a bow or head nod, I just can't imagine a journalist doing that to a republican president maybe I'm wrong...
Bowing is much on the minds of Obama's critics. The president himself was criticized for his bow to the Saudi King, and now Williams faces scrutiny for offering what is, after all, a gesture of kindness.

Brian Williams had to bow to Obama.
I mean, how else is he supposed to get his nose up Obama’s ass from that angle?

Does one have to bow in Japan? I'm only asking, not condoning Williams' gesture of adulation to the Scatterbrain.

It's custom in JAPAN. I watched it several times (my stomach has its limits) and Williams was quite awkward with the maneuver, not at all spontaneous as it would be in Japan. The whole thing looked a bit staged to me.

Wow, honestly, Meghan Mccain is just in a huff that she is not going to be married in the WhiteHOuse.
She could care less about GOP policy unless she wants to demean it like her father often does.

Williams faces scrutiny for offering what is, after all, a gesture of kindness. Kindness? I don't think so. It was a gesture of subservience, or submission, and That One responded with his own slight head nod, showing an attitude of condescension.
This is NOT how a free press is supposed to interact with the President of the United States! They sure as heck didn't treat President Bush that way. They didn't even treat President Clinton that way! It's just plain scary this hold That One seems to have over those folks!

Isnt it custom to bow before a King or before your ruler? The United States doesn't have a 'Ruler', no matter what That One thinks of himself.

“to bow in Japan?’
When I was in Japan on the way to Korea, I would bow my head in imitation of the Japanease. It seemed rather humorous at the time.

My post was a rebuttal of post 15. My q in post 16 was rhetorical.
Thanks though for letting me know that bowing isn't requisite in the U.S., no wonder folks give me strange looks.
