‘Today’ Has Time For Barack & Brian’s Limo Ride, Not For Military Killer’s Muslim, Yemen Ties

Check out the expression on Brian Williams face, and if you have time, view the video. You can almost hear him thinking yeah, thats what Im talking about! Me and The Man in the presidential limo!
There was plenty of time on Today this morning for Barack and Brians Excellent Adventure, as they went out for a burger and discussed the constraints of presidential lifehe cant take the girls for an ice cream on a whim, etc.
But when it came to reporting on the murder of one US soldier and the wounding of another, time was suddenly short at Today. So short, in fact, that Ann Curry couldnt spare the precious seconds that would have been required to name the suspect, inform us that he was a Muslim convert, and that he had . . . previously travelled to Yemen.

Have all Muslims denounced his actions yet?

A U.S. Soldier killed on U.S. soil by a muslim and not a word from the WH. I’d say this was an act of terrorism. Disgraceful.

NBC is getting desperate. I watch Morning Joe every morning, and only rarely does it get SO BAD that I have to switch to Fox and Friends (while they're good, they do too much Oprah-like stuff for my tase). At any rate, this morning was one of those times.
Brian Williams was just GUSHING about how they had all this fabulous access to the West Wing...geez...he was like a 14 y/o girl at a Jonas Brothers concert. Brian: Shaddap you big squishy lib...

NPR mentioned the shooting this morning and said that the shooter 'apparently had religious/political motivations', yet did not mention the shooter's name or the religion he had converted to while in prison.
(Yes, I sometimes listen to NPR on my morning drive to work, while the AM news station is on an interminable commercial break. I think listening to NPR Morning Edition should qualify for hazard pay of some sort.)

The MSM has transitioned very comfortably into the role of leftist propaganda machine; any pretense of journalism or objectivity has been abandoned.

Yes, I caught the story on the ABC morning program, and it they covered it pretty well, including his trip to Yemen, and the question of if he is alone in this, or part of some group that could be planning more attacks.

I rarely listen to NPR, but flipping through the radio dial I can easily tell when I’ve landed on one of their stations. All the men have this careful, don’t-want-to-offend-with-masculinity tone of voice.

Obama is pimping out the taxpayer's vehicles again. At least this time we know who was in it. Unlike AF One's flight over NY.

Yes, I noticed. Ann could hardly get the story out fast enough.
I will say tho, that GMA did a good long segment on the story.
And for some reason I didn’t hear it on F & F, Hannity, or BOR ... although I may have missed it.

Obama is Commander-in-Chief, yet he has no time to say even one word about a man serving under his command being murdered by an anti-American Muslim with foreign loyalties. He can rush to the mic to denounce the murder of a late-term abortionist, but a soldier's death is totally meaningless to him, and to NBC.

The one redeeming characteristic of NPR is that they actually will sometimes spend 6 or 8 minutes on a story. When there is a story with no obvious political implications (which is rare, but does happen ocassionally with a story about astronomy or particle physics), it can be quite interesting to listen an in-depth radio interview.

I wonder why they didn't treat both murders the same? /s

From a post by freeper DCBryan1
Quote: “A man frustrated with the military opened fire on a recruiting station in Little Rock, AR and killed one soldier and injured another. He is facing 15 felony counts in addition to capital murder”.
No mention of being a Muslim.
No mention of being indocrinated in prison.
No mention of being a black US citizen from Memphis/Nashville.
No mention that he said “Allah Ackbar” as he was arrested.
No mention that he told police that he was intending to drive to MEPS and North Little Rock Recruiting and kill troops there.
No mention that he trained in Yemen, having just retunred.
No mention that the FBI was watching this guy for having “passport issues”.
No mention that he ran a financial scam to fund islamic “charities”.
No mention that police found Syrian, Yemeni, and Bosnian passports.
No mention that he had several IDs with his picture, but different names.

CBS News website is running the AP feed of Army shooting MSNBC website is not running it at all.
I haven't watched the News sense Nov. Might as well get all the news I need from the supermarket tabloids, they are all about the same these days. I don't care what the obama does all day, I can feel it in my pocket. Report the News, not the fluff. I am so glad we can still get the facts on the Internet, I suspect before the one is out of the oval orifice, the Internet will be useless.

He was arrested within minutes...
Had eyes on him at the time. Arrest by police or Feds? That will tell us as to whether this was being treated as a law enforcement problem or as a terrorist threat and in either respect will validate Dick Cheney's assertion that we will be less safe under an Obama administration.

Arrest by police or Feds? That will tell us as to whether this was being treated as a law enforcement problem or as a terrorist threat ... If the press wasn't filled with biased bigoted haters ( and yeah, they DO hate conservatives) they would put a reporter on this story to answer your question. It's a good one.

Muhammad did not just select that recruiting center at random and attack on the spot. He had cased it prior to the attack just as he had been taught in the militant training camps he attended in Yemen. Law enforcement officials have reported that Muhammad may also have researched potential government and Jewish targets in Little Rock, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York, Louisville and Memphis.http://www.stratfor.com/weekly/20090603_lone_wolf_lessons
