U.S. Marshals were sent to guard abortion clinics across America today amid fears the murder of a controversial doctor could spark a new wave of violence.
The move by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder came hours after George Tiller, one of only three American doctors carrying out late-term abortions, was gunned down in the church where he was working as an usher and his wife was in the choir.

“The murder of Doctor George Tiller is an abhorrent act of violence, and his family is in our thoughts and prayers at this tragic moment. Federal law enforcement is coordinating with local law enforcement officials in Kansas on the investigation of this crime, and I have directed the United States Marshals Service to offer protection to other appropriate people and facilities around the nation. The Department of Justice will work to bring the perpetrator of this crime to justice. As a precautionary measure, we will also take appropriate steps to help prevent any related acts of violence from occurring.”

The number of abortion providers has gone down dramatically over the last several years.
Tiller’s murder will only push this trend.
Polling over the last year shows an anti-abortion trend.
I fail to see how Tiller’s murder will reverse this, regardless of how the MSM paints the pro-life movement and conservatives.
This is why Obama wants to mandate that doctors provide abortions, and that pharamacists must provide abortion drugs, and cannot opt-out. The conscious clause is the next round in the abortion fight.
So far this this UK site is the only report of this.I truly hope it turns out to be false because then Obama would have to send marshalls to all the military recruiting stations.

However, U.S. Marshals have a weakness: They rarely arrest people!
Therefore, Marshals are prone to FALSE ARREST!
The Marshals transport fugitives, and they track down escaped convicts. They guard those in witness protection. These folks do not need to be “Marandized” under the law.
So, talk a bunch, ask questions, ask about legal authority.
Don't be a jerk, but the Marshals will probably make mistakes, if you give them some time.

Actually, I would expect someone such as Obama to protect apostate churches like Tiller’s.
Every potential mother entering or leaving an abortion clinic, and every marshall protecting a clinic, should be offered a baby rattle gift.
With all the advance warning and so forth, why didn’t Obama prevent this murder?

ANY restrictions on abortion puts a negative connotation on the “choice” of abortion, and makes them realize that what they did was kill their unborn baby.
Same reason that they HATE it when someone choose NOT to abort, like Palin. If someone chooses differently, it makes them realize their choice was morally inferior.
That’s right, and those people have lives in the public. It could come at any time.

I think that its because they know that late term abortions are a line in the sand that conservatives will not waver on.
So they convince the women that the abortions are a fundamental human right that evil male conservatives want to take away in an attempt to enslave women. And the women buy it. (Not all, obviously, but far too many.)
The problem is that it works. Of course, if the details of the procedure were made public in graphic terms, it would horrify most people, including the liberal women that want it so bad.
That’s why you can see just about anything on NatGeo, Discovery, DHC, etc, but you NEVER see a documentary about how an abortion is done, especially a late-term abortion. They should do an episode of “Modern Marvels” on it if its so great.
Conservatives who run for office in 2010 and 2012 better be taking COPIOUS notes on all of these things!
