The Rich Creek Police chief is fired and now he wants to know why.
Skip Vaughn was the towns chief for a little over a year before he was fired on Tuesday.
Vaughn says the only reason he got was being insubordinate.
Vaughn says the decision could stem from patrolling the streets for drugs during the Memorial Holiday on his day off.

On the local news last night, other officers and EMS personnel in the area were voicing concern over helping out in situations they run across when not on duty. This will only hider our good public servants from providing care ON THEIR OWN TIME. Nice, huh?

Just down the road from Bozoo.
Wow, this is a first. The names of all of my old stomping grounds are being dropped on FR.
I used to get my hair cut in Peterstown by some guy from Spain who used to do taxes. I think I have been in every part of Giles County.
And we all know what happened here. He busted the wrong kid and his relatives called in an IOU. In a little town like Rich Creek, the only thing the police should do is bust speeders on 460 going to and from Southern Exposure.
Yeah, that’s all they should do if they don’t want to get fired I supposed. Sad cuz this young man is known as a dedicated officer, and this is what he gets.
I live in Pulaski Co. and the town council is so corrupt it isn’t funny! They sold a large parcel of land (Hogan’s Damn) for 400K to a “good old boy” LLC group who is now wanting to sell it for 4.5 million. How nice, huh? We get our property taxes raised to the roof and this is how the town garners funds...and all bids were sealed so the public couldn’t see what was NOT taken...but the sale was public land. How does that work?
My wife is from Giles. When we moved here, we looked at a house in Pulaski and she commented “I did not move back up here to live in Pulaski”.
But trust me. That is nothing compared to Greensboro NC. We don’t even rate a notice compared to what that crew is doing. I read the paper online just for the laughs.
