Sara Jane Moore, who in 1975 attempted to assassinate then President Gerald Ford, is out on parole after serving 32 years in prison. Asked by Matt Lauer on Today this morning what she would say to people who think that an attempted presidential assassin should spent the rest of her life in jail, her response began with this cryptic remark:
“Well, I’m going to go to the Obama thing.”

Yes, that was the sarcastic point I was trying to make. While I was watching the absolutely bizarre interview this morning, I was thinking the same thing CondorFlight mentioned, "Why in the world is this woman being interviewed?"
She actually said that she needed to get permission from her PO to do the interview. Why would they allow that? A free, all expenses paid trip to New York City on NBC's dime?
I hope, as a condition of her parole, she was barred from enjoying any financial gain from her unconscionable actions. I certainly don't want to hear about her new "book deal".

The Obama thing: take advantage of every opportunity this country offers, use anyone who can advance your political career regardless of their background, play dirty politics, get involved with criminals for personal gain, and then lie your way to the presidency.
Right ... but talks about “our values” and honoring our laws and that’s why we shouldn’t waterboard and that’s why we need to close Gitmo etc. So I think she was jumping off of those statements when she referenced the Obama thing.
