WASHINGTON – Somebody finally asked Barack Obama's White House press secretary about the president's elusive birth certificate.
When asked by WND White House correspondent Les Kinsolving why the president, who has pledged transparency in his administration, would not release his long-form birth certificate to establish his constitutional eligibility for office, spokesman Robert Gibbs guffawed in unison with members of the Washington press corps about the concerns of 400,000 petitioners who have demanded it.
"Are you looking for the president's birth certificate?" he asked incredulously. "Lester, this question in many ways continues to astound me. The state of Hawaii provided a copy with the seal of the president's birth. I know there are apparently at least 400,000 people – (laughter) – that continue to doubt the existence of and the certification by the state of Hawaii of the president's birth there, but it's on the Internet because we put it on the Internet for each of those 400,000 to download. I certainly hope by the fourth year of our administration that we'll have dealt with this burgeoning birth controversy."
The thing that is suspicious about it all is that they won’t release the original. They have it, apparently, but they don’t want you to see it. Why?

Gibbs is lying and deliberately spreading misinformation. Hawaii NEVER released his birth certificate.
What was put online was a recently created certificate of live birth that any foreign born child could get from the state of Hawaii in 1961.
When this blows up, Gibbs will be a central co-conspirator.
Maybe it says that his name is Barack Hussein.

Several people have written to their congressmen about Obama’s birth certificate- many claim the response they received said “...according to factcheck.org...” so is the White House claiming they put the info up on factcheck.org? If so why is it not on an official government website; like say the White House site or another official website? According to the spokesman- where exactly is the BC they put on the internet? I am amazed at all the dancing around this issue by the Obama administration, most of our elected officials, and the media. Wonder why so many people are suspicious?

I’m not a “birther”, but I do find it increasingly curious that he will not just release the document. Also, after years of parsing Clinton statements, I noticed that Gibbs was very careful today to never to use the phrase “birth certificate”. (Pardon me while I tighten my tin foil.)
Or his birth certificate lists NO father.
Or possibly lists someone other than Barrack H. Obama as the father.
There are other reasons to doubt his eligibility. His enrollment at Occidental and Columbia University may show him listed as a foreign exchange student.
His passport info from his trip to Pakistan in his youth, when U.S. citizens were not allow to enter Pakistan.
Lots of other questions.
We simply do not know what his “real” name is.
It’s good that doubts persist..the controversey will burgeon...

Obama won’t release his college records either. My conclusion is that 1) he is not a “natural born American”, or 2) he is a natural born American but attended Columbia as a “foreign student” from Indonesia. The latter would explain how he could visit Pakistan 1981, when Americans could not, if he used his Indonesian passport.
We will never see his authentic birth certificate or any of his other records that are MIA. It will never happen.

To any reasonable person, including many who initially dismissed this BC thing, there seems, because of deceptive responses, to be some “there” there. It is entirely possible that in four years this “burgeoning” controversy may have dealt with YOU and your lying boss. If what seems to be true IS true it WILL come out sooner or later; perhaps at the worst possinble time, to boot.
This will not go away long as BO continues to spend big buck to have a team of lawyers prevent any legal challenges against is citizenship instead of providing a birth certificate any one of us could easily produce upon request.

No, this will not go away. Decent and law abiding Americans will continue to raise this issue and demand that Barry Half-White produce his authentic birth certificate and the many other legal documents currently MIA. However, none of them will ever be produced.

Lemme sum this up:
1) There is no doubt that one Barry Soetoro AKA Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. is an American citizen under current US law and practice.
(2) There is no doubt that Barry Soetoro AKA Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. is clearly
(3) The Constitution makes this requirement, but without delineating exactly what a "Natural Born Citizen" is, depending upon English Common Law, very familiar to the framers, since most were British Lawyers.
(4)Neither did the Constitution establish any standard, or authority for its enforcement. If it's not in the Constitution, it is left to the states. And so far, no state has governing statutes.
(5)Through this capacious loophole walked one Barry Soetoro AKA Barack Hussein Obama, the illegitimate son of a an American mother and a father who was a subject of the British crown... right into the White House.
(6) Since the SCOTUS declined the opportunity to define this issue, and rightly so, it is unlikely that Glenn Beck or anyone else can do anything about it on the radio.
(7) OTOH, you can. Work with your state legislature to pass a STATE law requiring Presidential candidates to provide documentary evidence of eligibility before being placed (a) on the state's official ballot, and (b) before the electors of that state give any candidate the electoral votes of that state. That can be done before the election of '12. That is what the Electoral College is supposed to do: weigh a Presidential candidate's worthiness for office and cast their votes accordingly. Technically speaking, we do not have a popularly elected President.
(8)And while you're about it, agitate for repeal of the 17th Amendment and try to redress the terrible imbalance between State and federal government that has bent our democratic republic beyond the framers' recognition. All of this hoop-la-la about the place of the Omessiah's birth and his Birth Certificate is a distraction. Sleight of hand. Mis-direction. Now-you-see-it, now-you etc. etc.
Again: Obama is not a "Natural Born Citizen" because his father was not a citizen. Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was many things, A drunkard, a polygamist, a bad driver, a wife beater, a Muslim, an economist of sorts, but not an American Citizen. It really doesn't matter what Jr.'s Birth Certificate says, or where he was born.
Barack, Sr. was born a subject of King George, lived as a subject of Queen Elizabeth, and died a citizen of Kenya. Barack Jr.'s mother was a Natural Born American Citizen. Young Barack Jr. was therefore a dual citizen at birth, of the UK and of the United States, and that would be true if he were born in Hawaii, Vancouver, Kenya, or Hope, Arkansas.
The reason this has to be handled at the state level is that that's where it belongs. If even one state with three electoral votes demands documentation, the cat is out of the bag and there's no more pettifoggery about "standing to bring suit." Every citizen in that state will have it.
If Obama then chooses not to comply, so be it. He will lose that state's electoral votes and cast a pall over whatever term he manages to win. If he chooses to fight up to the high court, then the SCOTUS will have the role of interpreting the "Natural Born Citizen Clause." Be very interesting!
There is no doubt that BHO, Jr. is not a "Natural Born Citizen." The trick is to legally force him to admit it!

Yes, derisive laughter and mocking is a powerful tool of ostracism. I have only kudos for the reporter who DARED to wade in those waters. But doncha think that some Obama supporters, faced with this nagging unanswered question, have just a smidgeon of doubt and secretly would LOVE—when no one’s looking—to take a peek at the real certificate? We need to keep up a steady, if subliminal, drumbeat about this issue. Introduce it any way we can into any conversation about Obama.

“...from his trip to Pakistan in his youth”???He was at least in his 20something...we have MEN in Iraq and Afphaganistan younger than that...this fellow was not travelling on a US passport to Pakistan..and he boarded with his fellow Pakistani roommates families while in Pakistan. I just don’t believe he was a US citizen and may have my doubts if he’s one today...can it be proven..he was listed as a citizen of Indonesia by his stepfather.
