Gonna be a good day. 1100 miles of racing if not rain shortened. Gotta put a seat belt on the rockin’ chair!

First verse
I have always been a wand’rer
Over land and sea
Yet a moonbeam on the water
Casts a spell o’er me
A vision fair I see
Again I seem to be
Chorus
Back home again in Indiana,
And it seems that I can see
The gleaming candlelight, still shining bright,
Through the sycamores for me.
The new-mown hay sends all its fragrance
From the fields I used to roam.
When I dream about the moonlight on the Wabash,
Then I long for my Indiana home.
Second verse
Fancy paints on mem’ry’s canvas
Scenes that we hold dear
We recall them in days after
Clearly they appear
And often times I see
A scene that’s dear to me
(repeat chorus)

The last Indy race I attended was the inaugural 1970 California 500 (won by Jim McElreath after Al Unser’s engine blew with 3 laps to go). ....only 6 years after the engines were moved behind the driver.

Allee samee.
Remember when there used to be different kinds of chassis and engines at the 500?
Personally, I think circle track racing is pretty boring. They should have to turn left AND right, speed up, slow down, use the brakes and shift up and down.
Of course, as Dennis Miller says, “That’s just my opinion, I could be wrong”.

i have been telling people that in nascar or indy or any circle/oval track racing they should make it more challenging by having 1/2 the field go one way and the other half the other way. if they don’t kill each other, at the midway point in the race they change directions and continue until: a) everyone has crashed except one who is pronounced the winner, or b) everyone has crashed and the fans go home.

Is there even another engine in any of the cars beside Honda?

A lot of attention on Danica Patric today. That translates to a lot of pressure. I predict whoever has the best setup during the final round of pit-stops will win.

With me the race (and series) jumped the shark when all the foreigners invaded. Emerson Fitipaldi refusing to drink the milk really ticked me off. All this being said I'm watching the race. Just hope an American wins.

Even though it look liked he was playing, I read a while back that there is a serious lack of bugel players in the military and with the 1000s of WWII vets dying every year, the military was considering having eletronic bugels that play taps bythemsevles.
