Dobson: 'There's Utter Evil Coming Out of Congress'
World Net Daily ^ | May 14, 2009 | Bob Unruh

Posted on 05/15/2009 5:06:32 AM PDT by conservativegramma

James Dobson, the founder of the Colorado Springs-based Focus on the Family Christian ministry, warned today that there is "utter evil" coming out of Washington, D.C., these days.

"I want to tell our listeners something has come up that is so shocking and so outrageous, we must make our friends out there aware of it," he said on his daily radio program.

"I'm going to speak very bluntly today because there's no other word for it: the utter evil that's coming out of Congress," he said. "I've been on the air 32 years and I've never seen a time quite like this.

"The radical left controls the executive branch through the president, and the Congress where the Democrats have control of both the House and the Senate," he said, adding the courts are expected to move even further to the left.

No argument from me on this one. Dobson's statement is in response to pending Senate Bill S. 909 (Dubbed as the "Pedophile Protection Act"). Who can deny that protecting pedophiles is pure evil????

Dobson’s right. Unfortunately, the Jaywalking Generation will never believe him. When they’re not listening to their iPods, they’re listening to their dopey professors.

he is correct and brave to call it “evil” because it is walking so softly the majority of Americans still do not perceive it

I was thinking of “the Stand” too, and how so many people willingly chose the soft spoken charismatic devil to protect them

and saw anyone who resisted as their enemy

Yes, Dr. Dobson is listed as an “unreliable source” by the American people, who have their “minds” on liberal things. Few will listen; he is a 21st Century Jeremiah.

Just an idle question: could Carrie Prejean be prosecuted for what she said under this legislation? I’m guessing that, yes, she could in fact be prosecuted.

I know many who scoff when you mention “evil”, or “Satan”, or even “sin”.

They are liberals, of course.

And the reason they don’t want to acknowledge evil is that their ideology can be easily proven to be anti-God,

and they don’t want to acknowledge Satan because they’re directly doing his bidding,

and they don’t want to recognize the concept of sin because doing so would logically blow up their entire liberal worldview (man is basically good and perfectible through man made institutions created by elites).

1 John 4 talks of those who speak from the world’s point of view and those who listen.

John 8:42-47 also speaks to this issue.

It’s not an idle question at all.

Yes, that’s what the goal is - to prosecute those who say politically incorrect (ie, true) statements,

and cause others to be fearfully silenced from speaking the truth.

“Evil” is such a ...judgemental term, right?

Libs and squishy moderates have been conditioned to “not judge” anyone. Even “Christian” is treated as a judgemental term representing a judgemental religion, most libs refuse to capitalize it to show their contempt.

Western society is in such deep doo doo

Deep, deep down inside, and with the vestiges of what remains of their consciences - they know that they are wrong. Wrong about, well, almost everything.

Nothing else can account for the over-the-top, spiral-eyed hatred that they have for anything or anyone who puts them back in touch with what they have turned their on so long ago.

It means acknowledging their guilt; it's the collapse of their whole, selfish raison d'etre.

Consider this bill in light of the Catholic priest sex abuse scandals not so many years ago. These priests were castigated in the media and courts for being pedophiles YET Congress is pushing this bill. So, really it wasn’t about being a pedophile or child abuse but about being Catholic. At the time though if questioned all involved would have sworn it was all about morals/ethics and ‘For the Children’. The hypocrisy of the left is pretty brazen!

I recall back in the Regan yrs (I think) that the homosexuals were all up in arms about sodomy laws and demanded (sometimes violently) that the govt should ‘get out of their bedrooms’. It was all about being free to do what they wanted in the privacy of their home. Look at what its morphed into today...agree w/ our perversion and affirm us or we’ll have you thrown in jail. We still haven’t seen the ultimate goal of their agenda either....it CAN get much worse. In retrospect repealing those sodomy laws was the open gate to evil so it might prosper.

Any signpost to the truth REALLY makes them angry.

Scripture, a Cross, the Ten Commandments, a pro-life bulletin board, Sarah Palin, Carrie Prejean...

All because they have a God given conscience to KNOW what is right and wrong, and to KNOW that they are on the wrong side of that equation.

If they’d only accept the fact that we’re ALL sinners, and that none of us are “a good person” as they’d like to believe of themselves, their lives could be so much happier and at peace.

Libs don’t want to acknowledge the existance of standards (especially biblical, unappealable, unchanging standards),

so they use the failings of sinners as examples of why standards are invalid.

Who’s going to call them on it?

CERTAINLY not our media, for whom ISSUE NUMBER ONE is gay “Civil Rights”. Because it effects most of them PERSONALLY...

“Gay rights” is not about affecting them personally, not in the big picture.

It’s about destroying the traditional family - the institution God created.

Not really, not for them.
I’m associated with several local media types. The Talking heads run about 30% gay, but the ones BEHIND the cameras are about 60% gay.

At one local Indy TV Station, it’s a Mafia. They will not even HIRE non-gays for back-end jobs! Gays got in management several years ago, started hiring other gays, and that same story is repeated all across the landscape of American Media now.

It’s not about destroying the family for them, it’s about cutting down and minimalizing what they see to be a personal enemy to them, and thier chosen lifestyle.

This is a sincere question on my part because I do not know the answer:

If Congress passes this law, why do individual states have to follow it? Aren’t these kinds of laws the decision of individual states (10th amendment) rather than the Federal Government’s?

Thank you.

These kinds of laws should be the domain of individual states. Unfortunately the fed govt. has become a monster. Totally out of control and still growing. This is the main reason for the tea parties, and is the #1 reason behind the state sovereignty movement.

When states start to exercise their state sovereignty, all these laws imposed by the Federal Government should be going out the window.

He said while the "hate crimes" bill says its provisions shouldn't be used against religious statements, there's an important word that follows that provision: "Unless."

That's unless "the evidence relates to that offense," he said.

And under existing federal law, someone who "induces" a crime can be tried, convicted and sentenced as the principal. He said that leaves open pastors and Christians to be prosecuted should someone who commits a crime claim to have heard them speaking against homosexuality.

If this passes we can commit hate crimes against gay marriages and state that we did it because 0bama was against it. They would then have to press charges against zer0.

In King's novel the "good" folks were liberals and free thinkers. People with analytical minds like engineers and scientists went to the dark side.
