NH governor backs gay marriage (will sign bill)
The Boston Herald ^ | 5/14/2009 | AP

CONCORD, N.H. - Gov. John Lynch said Thursday he will sign a bill to make his state the sixth to legalize gay marriage as soon as the Legislature makes some changes, which legislative leaders immediately said they would back.

Lynch asked that the already-approved legislation be revised to better protect churches and their employees against lawsuits if their beliefs preclude them from marrying gays. Gay marriage supporters said they do not object.

"Throughout history, our society’s views of civil rights have constantly evolved and expanded," Lynch told reporters. "New Hampshire’s great tradition has always been to come down on the side of individual liberties and protections."

Traditionally they cared about negative liberties, get gummit off our back liberties. They are straying into the dangerous territory of so called positive liberties, actually enslavements.

Worse than that. They are setting up the USA for another terrorist attack. The Muzzies consider homosexuality an abomination (one of their few posititve traits); they’ve been killing “puppies” (slang for “queers”) in Iraq and they’re not much better off in the rest of the Middle East. This only makes the “Izzlamists” hate us even more. We get a nuke popped off in a major US city; proponents of same-sex “marriage” have themselves (at least in part) to blame.

RUFM? Damn, I was hoping he’d be a holdout to the steamroller. Would have made him a hero.

How can you tell if a gay is married? He only f’s half the men he meets.

It’s hard to believe that once-great state has changed so much in the 10 years since I moved away. What I can’t understand is why the Massachusetts people who fled their state because of its idiotic laws and repressive tax system turned right around and started recreating it in NH. I guess it’s like being institutionalized, you just get used to the system so much you can’t give it up.

There are plenty of valid reasons to oppose same-sex “marriage.” That, however, is not one of them. Quite frankly, I think it’s a terrible idea to base any policy on whether or not g-dd-mn muzzie terrorists think it’s a good idea.

Lynch is from Massachusetts, but otherwise many of the areas that have been “colonized” seem to be the most conservative.

You think it's okay that terrorists kill gay people?

I'm outta here. And don't worry -- I won't let the door hit me on my way out.

I don't know what's happened to FR but I never thought I'd see anyone praising the terrorists. Conservative my ass.

As far as I know, New Hampshire has no way of overturning this via ballot initiative, correct?

you can get it on the ballot and have the people vote on it.
I believe they tried not too long ago to get enough signatures but the people never bothered to put their name to paper maybe now it is happening they will sign and get enough signatures to let the people vote

you and I have talked a few times even before I came on here.and I do not mean no disrespect to you or anyone whom is like you..

Here is what I have noticed.
It seems that many folks up in the north east seem to be totally ignorant or lazy when it comes ot politics and they just vote for the D, Yes they complain about taxes etc but they still vote for a D.
The same for homosexual marriage, most I know up there do not approve of it and yet they do nothing to fight this, they do not cause a stink nor do they get off their arse and try to stop it.

When I say this I do not mean you , Nicole or others on that site butt he other folk who are more interested in what bar they should go to on a Friday night etc

If you ever want to leave the state you reside in and want to move down here then our state is always looking for a few good conservatives to move here

Fifth grade intro to sex education will be interesting in NH now. “Kids, the male puts his penis into the male anus and then ejaculates to show his pleasure. This is a healthy alternative to male-female sexual relations.”

hooligan

yea right you are.

As for America I think you will find that the majority do not approve of the homosexual agenda nor do they want homosexuals to have a sham marriage.
The majority of states have banned sham marriages and yes all those states voted on the issue, now contrast that to the homo states where not one state has let the people vote.
You want to harp on with your comments then go ahead but at least get the facts right

I do find it ironic you come on here, you took the time to register just to troll.

Is it like a little comical thing for you to troll or something.

correct

will they tell the kids now that homosexuals do not bring anything positive or contribute to the protection of our species.()seeing as they like nature instead of God)

now now kids you will see men walking around dog parks and public toilets wanting sex with strangers but please do not look down on these people they just like to satisfy themselves sexually by finding a stranger and insert his penis to where the other guys crap comes out of.
YES we know they cannot reproduce as nature wanted humans to do so but to them it is a sexual gratification and for that we should accept them, love them and let them think they are married

ARF

The so-called protection for churches will allow them to refuse to conduct a wedding for two guys or two girls. But it sounds as if they will have to provide spousal benefits to any newly “married” employees who hold the ceremony somewhere more welcoming.

No offense taken, at all. Those to whom you refer are mostly libertarians. I’m sure at some point we will eventually end up in the South, really what choice do we have if someone is conservative and they live in New England?

they have their own so called churches there anyway who will do their sham marriage

The more time passes the more the north east does not look like America

I was up in CT last week and my wife who came form MA said that it felt another country and it did.
The attitude of folks,etc.

If homosexuals want to marry why do they not move to the north east then?

my wife I think I have told you before sometime ago is from MA originally and she said that by me getting her to move south was the best thing she ever did.

You’re up there and I bet you love the seasons the hills etc so maybe east TN could be your calling, I know I am looking to move there once my kids go off to college

No state tax, very conservative, does have seasons and the fall foliage is beautiful, it’s cheap and the people there do not put up with the liberal crap infact I have never met one person who is for the left wing

We drove up to CT from my house and decided to go via the smokies and then onto 81 and what a beautiful drive for me and the family.

How are the usual folks on the other site doing like Nicole etc?
If you ever get to talk to them could you say hi for me please

Why should only churches and their employees be exempt? Freedom of religion and of association is for all the people, not just religious institutions. even with his “changes” a wedding photographer who refuses to do a “gay wedding” would have his life destroyed by the state AG.
