The Cheneys' Anti-Obama Assault Continues: 'Siding with the Terrorists' (before U-Turn on pics)
Black Entertainment Television ^ | 5/13/09 | By BET.com Staff

On Tuesday, Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, continued the family’s air assault on Obama that began shortly after he became the nation’s first African-American president.

Speaking to FOX News, Liz took her father’s criticism of Obama a step further, saying that it appears the president is actually siding with terrorists. The insult was in response to the Obama administration’s decision to release photographs alleged to show abuses at U.S. prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan during the Bush administration.

"I think it is really appalling that the administration is taking this step," she said in the interview. "Clearly what they are doing is releasing images that show American military men and woman in a very negative light." She continued: "I have heard from families of service members from families of 9/11 victims this question about when did it become so fashionable for us to side, really, with the terrorists. …You know, President Obama has a lot of rhetoric about support for American military families, support for our men and women who are fighting for us overseas. But if he really cares about them, then he wouldn't be making such an effort to release photos that show them in a negative light."

The hundreds of photos in question were taken during more than 60 criminal investigations between 2001 and 2006, and allegedly show military personnel abusing detainees.

In recent weeks, Dick Cheney, who was rarely heard from during his eight years as vice president, has railed against President Obama, accusing him of making America less safe. His daughter told FOX News, that the Obama administration appears “only to be interested in releasing things that really paint American in a negative light and don't give the American people a full picture of what went on."

I don’t recall any outrage over the constant assault on the Bush Administration. Oh yeah, I remember. The were called brave Patriots for attacking Bush.

Why include the token line about being the first African-American president? Relevance? Anyone?

Too busy airing episodes of “American Gangsta”, which glorifies pimps, pushers and murderers.

No time for a man who accomplished something positive.

Are the Cheney’s motives anti-Obama or pro-America? Or both?

Black organizations and black leaders who insist on equating opposition to the policies of the current incumbent
with a racist motivation, or who blindly defend this individual and assault his critics on no more apparent basis than his “blackness,” are setting the stage for serious racial tensions in this country - tensions like those which have never existed in recent decades.

The Cheney's are in full frontal attack mode because of Obama's attack on America, the Bush administration and its policies (which kept America safe) and on the VP himself...and well they should...and they seem to be very effective.

Because bublic back lash appears to be getting to this guy.

Good. We need to apply the same pressure in other areas to back this marxist down until we can get him neutered in 2010 and then replaced in 2012.

Its no wonder Cheney is despised by the left, he’s the only adult in the Republican party it seems. HEY RNC WAKE UP, THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS SHOULD BE DOING! Why is Cheney the lone voice out there on this stuff?

Actually, Cheney SHOULD have been President, but Bush II should have been the doorkeeper to the White House.

Had Cheney been President, Obama would NOT have won in 2010 and the Republicans would NOT have lost control of Congress.

Cheney is a man with guts and a functioning brain who loves America and stands for everything Americans hold near and dear.
