Same-sex marriage pits blacks against gays in test of liberal 'tolerance' (part one)
Examiner.com ^ | May 10, 2009 | Kathy Shaidle

Posted on 05/13/2009 4:15:42 AM PDT by Loyalist

Last week, Washington, D.C., City Councilman Marion Barry raised eyebrowns when he predicted that there would be a “civil war” if the District of Columbia endorsed gay marriage legislation.

"All hell is going to break loose," warned Barry, the former D.C. mayor and one-time convicted felon, after the council voted 12-to-1 Tuesday to recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere in America. "We may have a civil war," declared Barry. "The black community is just adamant against this."

....

During the Prop 8 campaign in California, the tensions spilled onto the streets and got ugly.

“It was like being at a klan rally except the klansmen were wearing Abercrombie polos and Birkenstocks. YOU N****R, one man shouted (...) Someone else said same thing to me on the next block near the [Mormon] temple... me and my friend were walking, he is also gay but Korean, and a young WeHo clone said after last night the n*****s better not come to West Hollywood if they knew what was BEST for them.”

Along with hundreds of other homosexuals, “Geoffrey” (above) rallied outside the LDS Temple in Westwood, California last November to protest the Mormon’s (highly exaggerated) support of the state’s “anti-gay marriage” initiative known as Proposition 8.

He didn’t expect to hear racist insults and threats of violence hurled at him by fellow gays. Yet as his story wound its way around intenet blogs and chatrooms, other non-white homosexuals shared similar chilling tales. The narrow passage of “Prop 8” did more than make “gay marriage” illegal in California. It also revealed a rift in the “rainbow coalition”, with homosexuals taking out their anger on African-Americans, who voted against “gay marriage” at a rate of 70%.

This is the true nature of the homosexual, for all to see: driven by nothing except the quest for sex.

Says a whole lot about D.C. that they continue to elect Marion Barry.

“The b!tch set me up” Marion Barry.

I love the fact that the ACORN vote getters in Californicate got the brothers out to vote, but didn't count on the social conservative aspect of black voters condemning the whole gay marriage thing in that ultra leftist state.

My question is why is Obama against same sex marriage? Obama isn't Christian...Same sex marriage is against the Muslim religion, so that could be a reason. Obama though is completely for abortion up to 9 months gestation. I would think that abortion and partial birth is against the Muslim religion also. Perhaps this is where his weakness lies!

This is one of several reasons why it does not make sense that the majority of blacks are democrats. They have a conservative view on gay marriage. I’m sure they want to pay less taxes. They are predominately Christian. And God knows they seem to be pro Second Amendment judging by the illegal firearms they love to carry and use at will.

I thought the president and his family were Protestant although I don’t know specifically what denomination. I don’t remember what his grandparents are, but wasn’t he raised by his mom’s folks for the most part? Were he & his wife married in a church?

I don’t think his dad was Christian, but he spent very little time with him. I’m under the impression that his family are not regular church goers, but that would put them right in the mainstream with a lot of other Americans who “practice” some religion, but are too busy on Sunday or Saturday mornings to attend services.

If the blacks are so strongly pro-marriage, why are so many black babies born out of wedlock? Just askin’

This is very good news. The enemies of this Country have always used certain groups of people to destroy the US. They realize there is strength in numbers. The Homos, woman libs, abortionist, Communist and civil rights groups all help each other. ;0)

Gay marriage is an oxymoron. The hallmark of the gay lifestyle is promiscuity.

Obama’s Kenyan side from his, “supposed” biological father, is all Muslim. His adoptive Indonesian father's side is all Muslim. His White grandparents in Hawaii, were nonreligious, along with his mother and said to have had very left wing leanings with communist organizational ties. Grandmother no doubt was athiest.

The democRat party has made such behavioral decisions attractive by paying for the “unwed mothers’” food, housing, transportation, and walkin’ around money.

“Gay Marriage” = “Square Circles”

It doesn’t exist, by definition.

Marriage is an institution created by God between one man and one woman for the purpose of completing the two different aspects of humanity, for procreation, and the generational transfer of the knowledge of Him.

I've always believed that Marion Barry was indeed set up. If you watch the tape in which he was busted for smoking crack, you would see that he tried for an hour or so to have sex with the woman he was with and she kept bugging him to smoke the crack in exchange for sex.

Once he relented and smoked, then he was busted. If it was up to me, I don't think he should have done any jail time or received any conviction as a result of this.

Very True....

Homosexuals main targets are young boys, something that the MSM and ‘gay’ groups seem to cover up quite well.

Reminds me of a few years back here in Jersey when environmentalists protesting ocean waste dumping were set upon by union thugs whose jobs were at stake.

Left on left is a GOOD thing and to be encouraged!

This is one of several reasons why it does not make sense that the majority of blacks are democrats.

I've read that black were a Republican voting block until FDR. I've seen a quote attributed to him (can't vouch for its authenticity), talking to Eleanor: "I'll kiss the Jews, and you hug the Negroes . . ." Didn't she have a newspaper column ("My Day") in which she frequently expressed compassion for the plight of blacks? These things stick through generations -- similar to the way white ethnics still vote disproportionately and irrationally for Dems by family tradition, because of the unsympathetic treatment their grandparents or great-grandparents got as immigrants from Republicans.

There was a column in the WSJ (I think in the 2000 election cycle) that said that Dems advertise heavily on black-oriented radio and TV stations, and that the ads say things that don't appear in their mainstream media ads and would draw a heated reply from Republicans . . . if only the Republicans knew they were there. Of course, the Republicans are by and large sadly inadequate in formulating their message.

The narrow passage of “Prop 8”

Hardly narrow, almost a landslide

Yes 6,838,107 52.3%

No 6,246,463 47.7%
